I never said that Talonflame was a GOOD name, I just don't think those names are that great. regardless if they're simple and catchy or not. also Mr. Mime doesn't roll off the tongue that smoothly either, you have to stop between Mr. and Mime just as you do Talon and flame.
(btw I think Cofagrigus is fairly easy to catch onto myself, but Alomomola is just a weird name in general)

Pretty cool video from the Developer Roundtable showing gameplay, expanding on some of the new elements, and showing the process of coming up with a new Pokemon.

It's about time Horde Encounters came. I bet that would be the fastest way to grind.

Except Alomomola is a clever name, because the pokemon is based on an Ocean Sunfish (also known as Mola Mola)

It took me ages before I could remember how to pronounce that name! I used to say Momolamola, Alolamola, Molamola, Alomamola and anything like that when referring to that Pokemon. It's a tongue twister.
Nothing like Muk or Slowpoke. They may not be "clever" names but atleast I can remember how to say them. Pokemon names used to remind me of what a kid might name an animal. A little kid might see a strange turtle and say: "Oh that's um, a Squirtle!"

It's kind of neat that they commented on something they weren't supposed to mention, and then were like "Welp, oh well!"

Except that cleverness means jack if it's uncomfortable to look at, read, and say.

They weren't supposed to mention how the region is based on France.

But I thought the whole of the internet already knew it was based on France? I mean seriously...how dumb do they think we are XD.

I think that's all up to opinion. Alomomola is just one "mola" attached to another "mola", but backwards, with an "o" between them (which admittedly I only just now noticed, but still, might make it a bit easier). I also don't know what else that Pokémon could have been named that wouldn't have been ridiculous or stupid.
on another subject, I'm glad that some of the plain old Normal-Types are being made part-Fairy because half of them are just boring and too weak for battle. this makes Pokémon like Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff and possibly Snubbull/Granbull have some actual strengths and be possibly useful in battle.

Of course it is. As is whether or not the name is particularly clever, whether it's stupid or good, or whether it was the best option available for that Pokemon.
The only actual fact about the Alomamola side-discussion is that the name "Makes sense". Because it does, the logic behind it works. But lots of things make sense without being good.

For jiggs and snubull not really.(they will still suck unfortunately)
And with types like Gardevior, most dragon types are fast enough to sweep it with a good physical move(crunch, earthquake, etc).
(remember its not just typing its stats too)
People fail to realize that even with this fairy weakness dragon type still run this.
Unless of course fairy type has a immunity or not very effective strength to dragon or some other types.
If anything poison type will become more usable.
Also Talonflame's name seems strange, its not a pun like slowpoke or mewtwo the other names and its really two words slapped together.
The design is cool though, I'm liking them all a lot more then gen 5.

Is Fairy weak to Poison? I hope so.
