POKEMON GEN 6 ANNOUNCED

It bugs me because I was absolutely CERTAIN that it was gonna be some sort of Fire/Poison manticore type of thing, what with Litleo having that tail that looks like a scorpion tail and there being such a mythological vibe so far. If there's a third stage to the family, then hopefully then it'll go the way of the manticore at that point but the way its design looks I really doubt it...

Or a chimera. That be sweet, too...

I'm waiting on the time when they create more Pokemon based on mythological creatures, rather than just plain old creatures. I'd be interesting to see a Game Freak Pokemon interpretation of a Medusa, Goblin, Leviathan, Asura, Succubus/Incubus, etc.

They have made a ton of Pokemon based on Japanese mythological creatures.

I want a ghost/water type pokemon based on those japanese umbrella monster things. That'd be neat.

Kyogre is already based on the Leviathan, that's mixed with an orca. It goes with a theme, as Groudon is the Behemoth and Rayquaza is Ziz.

As for Pokemon i want to see. There needs to be more Australian animals for one thing.
For mythological creatures. A centaur or harpy would be pretty badass. But making them less half-human would be the tricky part.

Pyroar does look cool. But yeah, i was expecting it to be a manticore as well.
