while it looks nice, it doesn't follow the ref I was using at all, you also seem to have given her more masculine features as opposed to feminine
the top of the head and the neck reference is good, though, so thanks!

you're becoming overly predictable when it comes to your ego getting in the way of accepting advice

or you know, there could be the fact that I DID use a reference and that edit DIDN'T follow it at all? While the edit is useful in some parts, it's not useful in others, therefore I'm not going to completely take all the advice. It's in a completely different style, bro.
I am going to take some advice out of it, but you're generally just being a jerk thinking that I'm ignoring critique when I'm most certainly not.

honestly its true dude. with most of your stuff you do take very little critique, even when it's from guys like helm. most improvement you make is self imposed.

@therm/juanup, i'm sorry, i'll not be completely gay next time. i think i can understand a bit better. though it's def. not true about guys like helm. he and ptoing give me great crits over MSN and such all the time. most improv i make isn't from forums, anyways, it's from the guys that mean something to me.
@shawny, taste, bro, taste.
although i'm sorry, Vic's critique isn't totally relevant, so if that's why you guys are calling me out for, my bad for not thinking it's insanely helpful to me :o

Hey dex, if you really want to get better you just need to flat out work on form. You're compromizing your shading because of your poor rendering of shapes and figures. So do some linearts or something idk. There's no way to justify what you're doing now, working on form is the next step to improving.
also yeah take crit too

honestly, i don't do as much pixel art anymore as i do drawing, mainly life studies and anatomy, so that should balance itself out. i've also been painting and using charcoals to work on volumes and stuff
but tbh, linearts are a terrible way to start a pixel imo, if you go by just lines, you're not going to always give what you're working on depth or volume.
though i would like to know what you think has a poor shape so i can fix it! thanks.

it won't balamce out. You need to manualy balance it out.
also you're not starting out pixeling, you've been doint it for a while, so you really have to work on form for your work to be fully reaspected.
I can't really tell you what has poor shape because nothing has really has good shape. Atleast not to match the level of the shading.
also yeah take crit too

well, i'll work at it
also, most things that don't have refined shapes are the WIP things, i tend to clean things up when i'm finished.
thanks, zac.

the original was flat and looked more like an awkward blob then a 3 dimensional human being. the edit looks much more real (and as a result, feminine) then the original.

You disavow line-art, yet one of the most common complaints in regards to your work is its shoddy shaping.
