A very amazing improvement, these will turn out to be great sprites!
almost done with the sprites, and changed the avatar picture looks a little odd to me though...
well, I'm going to try to take my first step(I guess you could say literally) as a spriter by starting a walking animation for Wario Thanked by: Phantom Killah

I think it only looks weird because there isn't a good background

It wouldn't hurt to make the last pallet of Waluigi's pants (his darkest color) to be a bit darker. It would add MORE contrast.
Also the background is what makes them look weird lol. Thanked by: Mr. Jam

yes, it was a bit of a rushed background...
well, I'll fix waluigi up a bit in the next little while

These look muuuuuuucccch better than what you started off with. They don't look stoned anymore
Can't wait to see what other stuff you make Thanked by: Mr. Jam
well, it seems the position of the feet for my sprites are horribly done...
it's been screwing me over in the animations animations are going to take a bit longer... I don't think what I have now is too far from wario, I just need to figure out how wario walks... I may not have had a lot of time on my computer lately, but I'm almost done my 2nd attempt of a walking animation It looks ok so far for everything above the waist... I just have to fix his legs and clean up the rest I have been having quite a bit of difficulty making my first real wario spritesheet, so I think it's time I listen to some advice I heard on another thread and to work with sprites with simple anatomy like a goomba before working on a harder sprite with human-ish anatomy. it's not that I'm giving up, it's that I'm trying to gain a bit more experience to produce something that may turn out better than it could have been *current progress(not much...) Kind of pillow shaded and some what low contrast bro. Perfect shape!

thanks
I'll try to fix the shading a bit, but for the shape I think I may have been looking at the original m&l rpg goombas a bit too much and for the palette, I just took a few colors from the pit goomba and added a few random colors as a temporary palette... I will try to fix it though well, did a bit of work on it, but the next step is cleaning up the image and starting the animation right now it sort of looks like a lousy edit rather than an original sprite... I'm far too dependant on the m&l goombas well, currently what I have for the goomba sprites

what you should do is probably stop using the sprites as reference and instead only use official art.

maybe it will turn out a bit better this time Thanked by: Garamonde

Get rid of some colors, The Goomba feels a bit too tall. The body could be shrunk by a pixel.
ok, got a bit more of an original-ish goomba this time
still have to fix the eyes and a few other things, but that's it for now...
Looking good, try to get rid of one colour from the shoe and the torso. (The darkest one on the shoe, and the 2nd lightest one on the torso. Replace them with the colors you already have.) Also a Goomba's face and shoes can use the same colours if done right. His pupil looks dilated too. Make it bigger by one pixel. his colors facial colors lack SOME contrast. It's not that bad but still funny to look at.
