Edit: I picked the smaller one. It's rounder and feels more like a normal Boo, the bigger one will get a crown and be labelled king Boo.

I might dither..

Again, I think you just apply too much shading here. The bright area is so small your lightsource would be a lightbulb in front of its forehead ;-)
The far arm appears to be shorter than the close one, too, since it's about two pixels less high. Thanked by: Novally

What else is wrong with it?

The eyes and mouth centers still don't match and I'd say the eyes looked better before. His forehead seems a bit flat and should be bumped out more.

Example of the center issue?

your using selout quite poorly, the outer pixel of a line is always the darker one but on a few bits of the edge you put the dark pixel on the inside.
the curve to the body / face isn't that great a curve the anti-aliasing around the eyes is fairly pointless when the black is just too dark in the first place, I messed around with it and using your next darkest shade on bits of it helped to smooth it out. the mouth has similar issues, the mouth also uses an indistinguishable shade of red which you might as well use black (that way you even have your other white shades to AA the teeth.) some issues are still there but I did a quick clean up over it so you can see what I mean, (edit is on the bottom) Thanked by: Novally
I would go so far and say you should drop the whole selout thing altogether,
it only makes the outline look broken and draws attention to parts of the sprite you should not want to draw attention to at all. Thanked by: Bombshell93

Without it, I wont be able to capture Boo's shape (he is not a perfect circle). It to be honest I hate solid outlines on sprites. Animation fail. The animation is going too slow. I fixed all the sprites to this animation already. Just putting it up here for show. I did start on this animation because I got bored waiting for comments. I fixed it up the best I can but I most likely will scrap it because It's lazily done. Here is the update. Again C+C needed. I took note of everyone's comments. I fixed most of the selective outlining problems, I made sure the eyes and the mouth are centered evenly. I even remove the pointless shade of red in the mouth of Boo and replaced it with black.

when retreating your tongue you tense it so the tongue will lift up before it re-enters the mouth,
Thanked by: Novally
I think with the tongue having as many frames of movement as it has, the arms need at least one more frame as well.
The details of the tongue aren't as defined as they could be with your colors. If that's what you are going for, than more power to you. I've always found the tongue to be the focal point of a boo, however, and I think seeing that line in the center will help. However, I also recognize that the reds you chose match well with the other colors, so changing them may mess with that. Just throwing out some options for you. Thanked by: Novally

You're comment makes a lot sense. I'll give the animation one more shot. I'm working on other poses right now.

Finished*
I wont even bother to submit these to the site. Doesn't look good enough. I could have done better than this.

If you were to add them would they go in the custom section under "Mario" ?
