I dunno, having black lines in your tiles makes it look ugly. Try avoiding too much black lines when making sprites. Fix it with the pallete that you have. Like so:

The grass tiles also have low contrast. I thought I would like to add that there... Sick

The colors for your grass tiles is like the circle to the right. You can barely notice that they are different colors. Change your colors so that we don't have to zoom in to notice.

The grass tiles' contrast has been heightened to almost being black for the shadows

You're missing the point. It's the green of the grass - there are several colours in the green, but it appears to be just one because the contrast is so low.

so you should just make it two shades (one for highlight and one for shadow) and make them stick out from the base color and make sure there aren't extra colors mixed in there.

I changed that to. maybe i should just make it thicker?

You seem to be using too many greens, try using a light green or the light green on the grass tiles. It may work a bit better to use specific colors for the sheet as a whole rather than different colors for each chunk of tiles.
