also yesterday was the first day that i missed checking my animal crossing town since launch
honestly i think i'm quite a bit more pissed off at that since i wanted to try really hard to try to check the game at least once every day for an entire year, even if it was just for a couple minutes or less a day and couldn't even do that right

Thought I should reply to that here instead of in the unhappy thread. Honestly I failed to check my town every day for almost half the time I had a town (and I had one for 2 years).
I know it's considered cheating and doesn't fulfill the purpose of checking on it that very day but if you're that desperate to know if anything happened that day you could still always time travel back, do what you want that day, then back forward and it'll be like you never missed it. But of course I didn't really care about doing it 100% properly either as long as I was caught up...

Found this on the wiki regarding villagers requesting stuff.

"Talking to villagers repeatedly will not trigger a public works request; rather, a villager must give off the "surprised" expression and walk up to the player in order to trigger the possibility of a request. As far as is known, public works requested in this way occur randomly."

So, don't miss out!

The museum expansion isn't a request... well, it is, but not a normal request. You have to talk to Blathers 10 days in a row (Or was it 14? I can't remember), and have donated at least 1 piece in each museum wing, after which you will randomly find Blathers standing in the museum thinking about something, if you talk to him, he will put in the request.

I just had the second floor added, it had the silver fishing pole for sale day 1.

I had to lie to Rudy, I couldn't let news of our invasion worry (or excite) the locals.


Luckily I'm an expert in guerrilla warfare, especially in the jungles of Perham.


I managed to sneak up on the enemy and land a fatal hit.
