You really don't. I unlocked all the characters when I was playing a Japanese Brawl rip that didn't have the subspace emmisary part (so I could burn it on a single layer DVD)
I love you all to death (Just so I can smash bros with you) (SSBWiiU/3DS)

Man, I miss when unlocking a character would take far more skill than just having to reflect 10 projectiles.

Unlocking characters should be an excuse to try other modes of play, and challenge yourself in ways you normally wouldn't. (I may have liked SSE, but I didn't like unlocking everyone through it...)
In other words, the process used to unlock a character should reveal a new way to play the game... further expanding on just what the game can really be and encouraging players to experiment just to find them. Thanked by: Baegal

I remember leaving my Gamecube on overnight so I could unlock Mewtwo in Melee. Good times.

And then you got Wolf, who requires yo to beat Boss Battles. (Funny how both are Star Fox characters) But yeah, I can't think of much else.

EDIT: Nevermind, NICKtendo is correct. My bad.

I don't think that's a new stage, but rather an area in the background of the already revealed Animal Crossing stage, only highlighted in this screenshot.

New Kid Icarus Uprising thing. The other picture, from Chapter 11, was the first part of the chapter. Something happens and it turns into what you see in that screenshot. Kid Icarus, woo!
Looks like it's inside a reset bomb maybe? Hard to say since I haven't played Uprising in a while. I'd say it's that or inside of Hades.
Btw, where did you get that image? When I go to the smash site, it still shows yesterday's image (although now with a 3DS border). Thanked by: Phantom Killah

Since the other KIU screenshot is from the level where you first encounter a Reset Bomb, I'm betting that's what it is. Hades' Belly is more stylized.
The picture's showing up fine for me on the site.

I mainly wanted it to be inside Hades so we could hear him make a "Super Snack Brothers" joke. Seriously though, if the Uprising levels don't have the gods commentating on the fight in the BG, I will be severely disappointed.
