This is the exact stage that is in Dead or Alive Revelations for the 3DS, and in that game, Ridley is a stage hazard.
So yeah, no playable Ridley anytime soon

I don't think that means anything beyond the stage being connected with Ridley. He could be a stage hazard, which I wouldn't doubt, but it could also simply be the stage he's unlocked on.

Yeah, the way the miiverse message was worded, it seems it could be implying that Ridley could be either a hazard or a characters. Since it was worded as it was, I have a feeling that we will be getting a definitive answer soon.

Proof that Villager and Wii Fit Trainer are in the 3DS version, along with the reveal that the outline thickness can be adjusted or even turned off.

I like having options.
Now I can experience the game in two styles

Personally, I think the outlines look neat, granted, I've always enjoyed outlined 3D models so idk.

The outlines look great on Villager, out of place on Trainer. Maybe if they weren't so rough looking?

Who knows, the outlines might look way smoother and nicer when it's actually in motion. I've noticed a lot of 3DS games that look like shit in screenshots but turn out looking way better when it's actually on the system. And even still, if they are rough, it's something that's really hard to avoid on the 3DS, still being what it is in terms of graphics (AKA not the Vita).

We've already went through this.
So, Pilotwings stage. Planes flying towards Wuhu Island. Yeah

I know nothing about Pilotwings but that stage looks beautiful and I can't wait to play on that!
It's like a Delfino Plaza/Big Blue/PokeFloats mix : D

Seems like the Pilotwings stage will take place in both Mode 7 Pilotwing and Wuhu Island (64 Pilotwings island would be cool too)
I'm alright with this, since Wuhu Island was in the newest Pilotwings for 3DS anyway

Lol, they messed up the tag for today's pick. It says "3DS" when it clearly is the Wii U version.
Also, it appears that Villager's balloons can be popped.
