Smash Bros: Project M!

While Smash 4 might be the new game in town, Project M is getting ready for another update, teasing new features. Highlighted is "All-Star Versus Mode!"

All-Star Versus Mode allows you to set a character to one of your stocks. If you lose a stock, you switch characters. Pretty neat, huh? It's kind of similar to that of Soul Calibur 2's Team Battle mode. You can basically draft your own team of characters, instead of sticking to one.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! More alternate costumes have been revealed! Check out Light Suit Samus, Sigrud Marth, World Warrior Lucario, Toon Pit, and Ocarina of Time Ganondorf!!!

So if you mix All Star mode, Stamina, and Turbo, you get Project Marvel

I guess they decided it looks cool. They state that they're giving Samus two more alt costumes too, so that could mean we'll see other, more famous suits from Samus' past.

(I'm actually kind of really partial to Marth's Sigrud outfit, even if I rarely if ever use Marth.)

All-Star Versus looks pretty cool. It'd be cool if there was some sort of swapping feature where you can swap without losing a stock, but the character retains their damage or something.

... That's probably a little too hard to do though.

So basically it takes the rotation of Subspace Emissary and makes it a vs mode? Eh, I guess that could be interesting.

That Ocarina-style Ganondorf is pretty snazzy. It's a shame Nintendo never did a Toon Ganon since his design was always one of my favourites... but then his body type would necessitate new moves and they could've just reused Captain Falcon's again.

I'm loving all the new stuff. Lucario doesn't look as dopey as I thought he would in a gi. The focus band is a good touch.
