Not all of them, but some of them are pretty ugly.

That squid thing looks awesome, and I like how goofy Binacle looks. But sure, every generation is going to have a few ugly monsters, not everything can be beautiful.


Also, anyone who really misses the old chubby design of Pikachu, Dedenne is basically that. So cute

Um is anyone else having trouble actually finding this gen's pokemon in the game? I've ran into very few in the wild.

Also where are all the ghosts? I seriously want an all ghost team yet I've ran into very few as well.

i find myself saving like 3 times just because i look away and look back and it's just done

also don't save in Lumiose city; your game might bug out and you'll have to restart. as in your entire game.

So... Apparently by tipping NPCs in these games, you can increase your chances of running into shiny pokémon. This might explain the shiny sentret I found a mere three hours into X...

With regards to the games' difficulty, I can report that things have just been getting progressively easier for me as I've been playing. I started with Fennekin and picked up a Honedge as soon as I could, and so far they've been able to beat everything I ran into without any real trouble.

I also picked up speed boost Torchic, now speed boost Blaziken, who thanks to his mega evolution is now the most powerful pokémon ever. I've been leveling him with the exp. share and have used him in battle all of three times, though this wasn't out of necessity. Before the... fourth gym, I think you're also given Lucario for free who kicks ass even without his best moves (extreme speed, close combat) and his mega evolution, which you're given instant access to anyway.

However, despite the lack of challenge, I'm still having fun.

I actually usually leave the Exp Share off to keep the difficulty level higher. I only turn it back on when I'm significantly underleveled

(I also switch the battle mode from shift to set though, so maybe I'm a masochist)

I'm back home now so I have my internet. I keep giving away Munchlaxes over Wonder Trade, and so far I've only gotten like two things I actually wanted, but at least most of it is stuff I didn't have. Except that damn oddish. xD
