If they're in the middle of adding all the random female characters that appeared in past Zelda games...

That...is awesome. I hadn't even considered her as a playable character, but that sounds really cool. I really liked her in Twilight Princess, too.

I'm trying to think of some good characters they could use from Wind Waker. The...king of Hyrule? Or some sort of land-treading version of the King of Red Lions. Like one of those Chinese guardian lions.



Actually the more I think about this the more I want it to happen. They already have a quadrupedal character in that wolf that Midna has. Do it. Dooo it.

Other than that...maybe Quill? Or Medli?

They might be pulling a lot of characters from Twilight Princess since they with the game's style. That means there might not be any Wind Waker characters.

That's certainly something I was worried about, considering Midna, and now Agitha and Zant have been confirmed, (Zant not necessarily in playable form) but we haven't seen any other game-specific characters. Then again, the first new playable character we learned of was Impa only last month, and there's still almost 2 months before the Japanese release. So who knows.

I wouldn't count on that, though it does seem there is some slant towards TP. However, Link's, Zelda's and Impa's designs are clearly based on SS, so I don't think it's unreasonable to keep hoping for characters from other games.

Also, a lot of the modern games (around past OoT) have a some bias towards women taking important roles over men, i.e., 5:2 sages in OoT, Midna, Queen Rutela, the Goddesses, etc. Not saying there's not important male characters though, would be nice to have some too.
