To expand on what Dazz said, I just want to cover two points. First, the new icons actually work perfectly on my phone. Yeah, it's only two per row and zooming is sometimes necessary to read things but not to the point of making them unusable.
More importantly, this wasn't an uninformed decision. We can see statistics about the technology being used to access the site and only an incredibly small number of people are using screens with a resolution less than 1024px wide. We used this to set our minimum width. Under that width, the site stops resizing and vertical scrolling is necessary but that impacts so few people that it was a sacrifice we were willing to make.
At this point, I can only suggest you spend a few dollars and get yourself a monitor with a resolution of at least 1024x768, and not just for our site but for the sake of everything you do on the computer.
I can't remember the last time I had a 800x600 monitor. That was definitely a cramped era of computing for me.

This is just a caprice of a perfectionist, but it would nice if we could preview the new icons. Just to make sure that there are no inconsistency and that all the transparency work correctly. Also, it would make very easy to spot what is missing and needs to be done.
There is technically a way to do so but it results in an extremely broken looking site so it's not something chose to make public. If Dazz is okay with people seeing the site in this state, I'll PM those interested the link.
I'm OK with people seeing it, but it isn't regularly updated with new icons made, as I have to manually update upload them.

Right, so with that out of the way, PM me if you'd like the preview link. As Dazz said, what you'll see represents a (now rather old) snapshot of our progress as the files all need to be manually uploaded for the changes to take effect and we don't do that often as it stands.

Two little things i noticed when looking at the new icons:
The right side white border is a pixel bigger than the left, so it doesn't look centred because of it. Also, the font kinda look blurred and small compared to the old one, especially when the icon has a very short name. Maybe the font size could be increased when the icons name is 8 characters or less?
Edit: Completed FF6 and Chrono Trigger so ill continue with Ogre battle and Bahamut Lagoon.

Little bump, am i the only one that those details catch my eye?
Also, the next "update" should show off the new icons maybe not all of them but why not about 50 at a time, randomized each time you load the page. Cant wait to see my and the others work in action!

I can't comment on the first half beyond saying that inconsistencies like that definitely bother me but luckily, if it's actually just an issue with the border, it's an easy fix.
As for showing off the new icons, that won't be possible, random or otherwise. Right now, none of the new icons are actually live on the server - they're all stored on Google Drive. Until they're done, we don't plan on uploading them here because it would leave us with a very inconsistent state on the site. Unfortunately, this means that we won't be able to see anything beyond the periodic updates we make to our temporarily uploaded icons via the link I provided to those who asked.
We're going to make some very minor changes to the border when they're implemented, based on how they look within the page and interact with each other when positioned in their final resting place.
I'd like to put out that I feel we should concentrate on making game icons before sheet icons at this point. If you get bored, of course, feel free to move on to sheet icons... But ultimately, there are less games to make icons for than there are sheets. We can also implement the new game icons as soon as it's done, which will just make the site start a transition to the new appearance of icons.
For those still not helping, making game icons is very easy... It's literally a cropped screenshot. I've made over 1,500 so far, and we're currently on 1,844!

We are over half way there with game icons!

Nice! Btw, is there a way with Google drive to search or sort for games that arent done? Is it doable since we track our progress with colour?
I'm afraid not; though my advice is to simply drag until you see white. If at the end there are a few not done, it's ok, because we can see what those are on the actual site. I'll go through each letter of each console to confirm a 100% completion at the end and make them as I go.

I've gone ahead and sorted the list so that all unfinished items are currently at the bottom of the page. This isn't an automated thing, this is something I will have to do manually as we complete stuff though it isn't hard.
Just figured it'd help you guys out a bit
