Shantae sprite

I was bored today and wanted to sprite, so I decided I would do some pixel art of Shantae!

I think you might be able to give her pose more depth if you fill in that lighter red section of the sprites lower left leg with your darker shade.
If you do, the darker shade above her knee might not be necessary.

Looking great, liking some of colors you used too.
I think the head seems a bit too big, perhaps make her chin a bit shorter/smaller and lower the ear a bit, as well as bring in the side of her hair in a bit too.

the shading on her legs don't give her form, and thus, it comes out as blobby shapes. Search for baggy pants and see how they're shaded;
and the color for her mouth lacks contrast, so she appears mouthless, which is bad considering the amoung of definition on other places

I like it a lot; the color choices are really nice, and the body/face/ponytail are pretty nicely done in most regards
Some edit/pointing out:

yellow boxes seemed pretty blocky; just sticking a bit of the darkest shades there in the edit kinda helped, I think.
the red box, the shading there looks kinda weird, but I'm not sure how to describe it. maybe kinda "blobby" or something? I guess maybe it doesn't look right with the ponytail or something.

I think I would recommend adding a few more white highlights to the gold parts, particularly where he waist is. They look kind of fleshtone otherwise.

I second that; I kept reading the waist area as some kind of weird g-string because I can't distinguish the yellow parts from the skin

I don't really like how the hair is shaded. Not the ponytail, but the bangs and such. Um...I don't really know how to fix it though. To me, it just looks unpolished and rough compared to the rest

Thirding the gold parts; they don't look gold at all.
Also, I'm not a big fan of the shades of red you used in her clothes. The highlight looks too orangish, and the shade part doesn't have enough contrast.
