Well, welcome to the forums, but if you are going to open any thread, please make sure to read the rules. In this section, threads must have sprites or pixel art for other users to judge and help you improve.

Lemme get started with one of MY personal favorite sprite sheets, give it up for... SUPER HIGH-DEFINITION MARIO FROM M&L4!!!
here's the link:
Yes, I know what you are thinking, he probably looks VERY creepy... but just... lemme know what if there is anything I can improve on!
Next up, is a good one! The good ol' bean: FAWFUL! Check out his sleek appearance!

Why, I've got half a mind!

Yeah… For the high definition Mario sprite, it hardly looks any better than the "remastered" sprites found in the mobile rerelease of the Mega Man X games. If you want to create high definition sprites, why don't you take a look at what Koh's been up to and follow his example? If you ask nicely, he might be able to give you some pointers, too.

Also, instead of creating M&L4 styled sprites now (especially considering that I think it would be best to put it on hold until more sprites from that game have been ripped to use as a better reference), I think it would be better for you to try out other sprite styles and somehow add your own touch to it.

it's ok to suck, sucking is not bad, just try and aim to always do your best!

Yeah, I don't think the "HD" Mario looks good... 2 seconds in photoshop gave
me a similar result.
As for the M&L sprite, I'm guessing it's an edit? I haven't played many of the M&L games, so sorry
if it's not.

Are you using an image filtering program to enhance these? Judging by the filenames which contain "HD.exe", I think it looks like automatically generated output rather than pixel art you did yourself.

Okay I will be the first one to say it, please use an image hosting site to show your images. It's easier for us all to see your work, and it's easier to compare results. Use Imgur, of Photobucket or any other image sharing website, just please don't just add attachments.

Not only that, attachments are against the rules in S&PA.
Please use an image host or I'll have to start issuing warnings.

So was that post.
Please don't bump thread (even your own) unless you have something worth posting.
