New Game Icons!

As some of you have already noticed, we've launched our new game icons! With these new icons come some important improvements to usability:

1. While the images themselves are larger, the border and title backgrounds are now a single image which means the site only has to load them once. I don't anticipate this having a noticeable impact on speed but it certainly can't hurt.
   
2. Game titles are now automatically added to icons via the database which means much easier icon submissions (you only need to submit the image part) as well as the ability to use your browser's built-in search to find a game on a long page.
   
3. The larger size means that more can fit on the icon without cropping which should lead to better representations of the games without even needing to read that new text.
   

All of this is currently live on tSR and we're in the process of applying it to the other sites. It's actually half in place on the others now (you can see the old icon inside the new one). Once everything is displaying correctly, we'll fix the submission related functions to accept the new format. Just bear with us while we're making this transition.

I've posted the SNES Magical Drop problems in the Error thread, but after browsing other consoles I've submitted sprites in, I found you also used a screencap of the arcade version of Magical Drop III on the original Magical Drop/Chain Reaction sprite section.

I apologize if this post sounds rude or picky, and if you want, I can upload a more believable screencap of the game. I just felt I should point this out mostly to confirm whether this was also meant to be a placeholder until a proper image could be found.

Looking good, though there is some weird text rendering on mac, which -webkit-font-smoothing: none; would fix for webkit. Though this is silly and nit-picky... but regardless awesome job on getting them all sorted!

I've noticed font issues on Mac too, especially with Safari. We're working on addressing them but I don't like relying on nonstandard CSS so more likely than not, we'll be experimenting with alternate fonts. Thanks for the report though!

It's just a 240x125 icon of the game only now, the icon borders are automatically set up on the website now.
