That hand and that arm have caused me a lot of grief. I'll see how I can improve them and update shortly! Thanks!!
Dialog test.
Edit:
Is this any better? I don't like the dithering on thumb (fuck thumbs)
Edit 2:

Much better : )
And yeah, the cutoff looks kind of strange at the VS part.
The actual character select screen looks great, though! I wouldn't change that.
((I should be able to more regularly browse here in a day or 2. I'll provide more in depth C+C then, sorry))

I fixed the clipping problem by going over the 128x240 limit. I think the grand maximum should be 160x240, but it's best if it were closer to 128.
The sheet has been updated, too.

Oh, awesome! I was a little worried about how I should cut mine off.
That little bit behind the character select screen really unites it well
So can we just say between 128x240 and 160x240?

Yeah, that's right! Then you can allow clipping on the side which touches the edge of the screen (left on the 1P side, right on the 2P side), which is why I mirrored some of the portraits (yours and Gors if I'm not mistaken).
Edit: I forgot to add the names in the current gif. I'll see if I can add them tonight

Man, these sprites completely blow all the others out of the water! So much thought was put into every move and Chris2Balls seems like he'd be a VERY fun character to play as. The contrast between the serious moves and the over-the-top goofy ones is also just perfect. Fantastic job!

I uh... am working on my character's theme music. Except my musical skills are pretty limited. If you have some c+c for working on transitions between the parts or whatever else, I'd be happy to know.
Edit:
Alternate animation to the 1000 firsts:

Alternate animation to the 1000 firsts:
Hmm... I'm sorry, but it's not really working for me. For a spooky pre-battle character theme, it works, but it wouldn't fit the fast pacing a battle theme would need. I also always imagined Chris to have more a French-sounding theme. Like something spooky with a haunting accordion or piano alongside?
And speaking of which, you might want to give OpenMPT a go. Famitracker's great for 8-Bit stuff, but I wouldn't imagine it would fit in with Gor's stuff. But if you're going to insist on using Famitracker, give the VRC6 expansion a try! 8BitDancoot has some fantastic VRC6 stuff.
Oh, and the new spritality is fantastic! It feels much more dynamic and looks like it has a lot more range. The only thing I'm a little confused about is whether Chris is rapidly jabbing or punching. If he's jabbing, then his fingers should probably be extended while they're close to his body.
Well, 2 things:
Firstly, just because Chris' character is French doesn't mean he has to have a stereotypical French theme (plus the fact that he is a body-building skeleton-with-flesh-man, this works).
Secondly, he's just using FamiTracker to "sketch out" his theme so that it can later be remade with Gors' samples.
However, I will agree that while this theme is good, it wouldn't fit into the upbeat, action-packed atmosphere of a fighting game if you were fighting C2B on his stage (which I'm assuming is when the character themes play).

You've both raised some good points, I'll see what I can do to make it more like a stage theme!
Oh, and a little filler:
A speech bubble for one of my specials.
Sheet updated too.

I don't think he meant stereotypes, Mighty. Im pretty sure he was just suggesting that Chris incorporate some elements of French music into his song, which I like because it helps emphasize the diversity of the cast and represents his nationality. As for the theme, I personally get a more goofy vibe from Chris' ref than a spooky one. If he wants spooky then sure he can pull it off, but otherwise I think it would be cool if the song was really bouncy and powerful, to represent his balls and size and stuff. Or, and as I'm typing this Im liking this idea more and more, he could go with a mixture of these two things and have a sort of creepy carnival music sounding song.
All suggestions of course.

So I figured that it'd be cool to be able to unlock special sets which you can choose. I've made set B of C2B's specials (A being the original set):
Absinthe is a French spirit. Here's C2B's version of the "Green Fairy". Sheet updated.
Revised Ball Chain, because it was unreasonably long (might still be). I'm revising the Diving Bread, as the baguettes are quite big too.
Edit: animations revised, sheet updated.

Chris, does a lot of your inspiration for the fighting style of your character comes from Bobobo-Bobobobo?

So I CAN do the alternate specials, but to avoid having both C2Bs bound to the same moveset, the player would have to do an input mid match to change it (and do it every round) or make two character slots. It is possible though, and using your original Idle animation for one special moveset and the new one for the other would be an interesting thing.
