i have not played any of the donkey kong games but i have played the games with donkey kong in that are not donkey kong (like mario kart)
i donnt really understand why he is called DONKEY kong

Miyamoto wanted to name the ape for his arcade game after something that means "stupid". His limited grasp of English at the time thought "Donkey" was a synonym for that.

When reading this thread I honestly thought Kiddy and Diddy were the same character so at first I was really surprised and confused because I thought the lot of you would love Diddy. Welp goes to show how much I know and care about the DK series as a whole. Also I don't really get Koopaul's whole thing with thinking that Kiddy is particularly ugly????? He pretty much looks the same as the rest of them.

Anyway I don't particularly have a favorite or not favorite, I never played the games as a child and I'm not to interested in playing them nowadays either. I pretty much just feel apathy for the whole series.

I actually like Diddy and Dixie (Probably because DKC2 was my favorite out of all of them), Funky because he's the only kong with some bad ass music in the first.
I'm neutral with Donkey, Cranky, Candy, Wrinkly, Kiddie (mostly because I never played 3), Swanky, Lanky and Chunky (same as Kiddie)
The kongs that can fuck off are the ones going beyond N64 game, Tiny and Manky Kong (yeah, that one enemy that threw barrels at you in donkey kong country. I'm glad rare or nintendo never used this fucker again)

Those swollen lips, tiny ears, botox cheeks. The fact that you can't tell what kind of design they were going for. Is he supposed to be funny? Cute? I can't tell.

See with Lanky Kong, he looks goofy because he is goofy! He's a goofy clown Kong. Dixie was designed to be hip and cute. Diddy is cool and playful. Funky is just plain funky.

He's supposed to be developing, like every other kid does. That means he's got a lot of different traits he's trying out influenced from a lot of people (I mean, it sure does seem like the Kong family just passes him around as they tire of him).
