game and watch's hand also goes pass the border. :0

The leak predates when that image was posted on imgur though. Also Game and Watch isn't passing into Wario's border, Wario's shadows just match up with his hand.

Well since Shadow Mario's paintbrush was brought up again I guess I will go ahead and use it as an excuse to post this ...

Y'know, I never gave Bowser Jr. much thought as a potential character before because I thought he would most certainly just end up being a smaller faster clone of Bowser with some of his moves changed to compensate for differences in their body proportions; and to be fair I still think that's exactly what we'd get. But ever since I mentioned hoping he utilizes his paintbrush in at least some sort of special attack before, it's kind of been on my mind that he could actually be a truly unique character if they were to build his entire moveset to mainly revolve around the paintbrush as a weapon. This is how I imagine it working:

Bowser Jr.

The Stats: Junior is a fairly small character, not much larger than Kirby or Olimar. He is a bit heavier than other characters of his size class, however, due to his heavy shell. He is also not one of the fastest small characters but still very fast overall. He attacks mostly using his Magic Paintbrush but can also duck into his shell koopaling-style when performing a dash attack. He lacks attacks that hit for large percentages and doesn't have any real great launchers, but he can potentially make up for this with his unique gimmick.

The Gimmick: As mentioned before, Junior relies on using the Magic Paintbrush for most of his basic attacks. While not super strong, if the enemy is hit by the head of the brush it will leave a bit of "goop" on their body. If the enemy gets enough goop on them, it will start to steadily increase their percentage; basically like having a Lip's Stick flower on your head. The goop can be shaken off, so the critical strategy for Junior becomes to keep laying on with the brush attacks to keep the enemy covered in goop to steadily raise their damage counter, potentially at a rate higher than any other fighter if done efficiently.

The Moves:

Neutral Special: Fireball - Unlike daddy Bowser, Junior defaults with a fireball attack. Compared to other projectile attacks it is kind of slow moving, but that also means it remains on the field for longer so try knocking other fighters into it. Perhaps it could also be angled up or down? One of his custom specials may be the classic Smash-Bowser firebreath.

Up Special: Junior Copter - Bowser Jr.'s miniature version of the Koopa Clown Car. When used he will spin while zooming upwards, plowing through enemies. Once he reaches maximum height the copter will slowly descend, offering some additional Peach-parasol-like horizontal recovery. This gives him an overall potentially great recovery, but he's a lightweight so he kind of needs it.

Forward Special: Paint Spin - Junior swings his paintbrush forward with great force, creating a large spray of goop immediately in front of him. This move will cover an enemy in maximum goop in a single swing, however there is some build-up to this attack so it is strongly telegraphed. For alternate Custom Moves, he could spray Electric or Firey goop for different effects.

Down Special: Grafitti Drop - When on the ground, Junior swipes his brush at the floor a couple times to create a pool of goop. While Junior himself is immune to it, anyone else who steps on the goop will slip around like they are walking on ice and are at great risk of tripping like on one of Diddy's banana peels. He can only create a couple of these puddles at a time though. If used in the air he will throw a glob of paint straight down for the same basic effect. A Custom Move for this one might be to instead of just making a slippery pool, instead create a pool that a goop pirhana plant grows out of and chomp at nearby enemies.

Final Smash: Shadow Mario - In addition to becoming much stronger and faster, this form also leaves goop EVERYWHERE. Trails of goop are left on the ground wherever he runs, making the floors slippery wherever you travel. Any sort of action from attacking to just simply jumping causes goop to fly all over the place. Nobody can escape your goopy apocalypse. NOBODY.

Anyways, that's my idea. Feel free to hate it as much as you want.

I honestly like the idea of Jr.'s Koopa Clown Car utilizing the boxing gloves and really doing the fighting, kind of like a Nintendo version of Tron Bonne.

http://www.smashbros.com/us/music/ The samples are pretty neat, but the names on the list and what they have done in the past shows a bit more interest for me. I mean, they have a person who worked on Xenoblade's soundtrack mixed in there...

Noriyuki Iwadare Is also interesting to me as well. Working on games like Grandia and Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies. Though, it is probably for his work on Space Invaders, Kid Icarus Uprising, Brawl, and the like... I still find it interesting that they chose those as his example pieces.

So today's pic(s) of the day kind of confirmed that the leak is fake for me.
Okay, according to the leak there's only one Donkey Kong stage, Jungle Japes, which is a Past stage. Knowing that every stage only has two songs on the 3DS, we can assume it's two songs are going to be the ones from Brawl: "Jungle Japes" and "Kongo Jungle"
But look at that! "Kongo Jungle" and "Gear Getaway" a song from Donkey Kong Country Returns! This implies that there is a new DK stage for the 3DS version. Why else would they omit the "Jungle Japes" theme from the Jungle Japes stage? Why add that one new song? It has to be for a new stage.

EDIT: It seems there are songs that won't be a part of the stages. Drat. Almost had it.

Koopaul, I thought about this too. But Gear Getaway could just as easily be an alternate theme for Jungle Japes. They could've done away with the Kongo Jungle theme instead and added a theme from Returns into Jungle Japes.

Though I doubt we could tell from a Music Sound Test screen, as the order of these songs seem kind of scrambled. Where would "Ballad of the Goddess/Ghirahim's Theme" play to? Not to mention it's hard to tell if "Main Theme/Underworld Theme" is a Mario or a Kid Icarus song. Though I'm going to be pessimistic and assume the leak is real from this information. We will only get one (1) DK stage, and it will be a DK stage that I've grown quite bored of.

EDIT: OOPS I DIDN'T READ THAT THIS WAS KONGO JUNGLE'S THEME IN THE PIC OF THE DAY, NOT JUNGLE JAPES.

OK WELL THERE WE GO NEW DK STAGE CONFIRMED. EVERYTHING IS GREAT.

It still can't prove automatically that the "leak" is fake. The possibility that not all things are unlocked still exists.

Hmm, seems like some songs might be Smash Run exclusive. That's pretty cool, especially if individual characters get their own exclusive theme for it.

I know that during E3 Mega Man had mega man music playing specifically when he was played in Smash Run. I don't recall other characters because most of the other videos I watched had lots of crowd noise.

I like the bit about using the 3DS as a portable music player in sleep mode. That's a feature that all portable games should utilize.

With the music update there is a list of artists and games they have worked on. There are people who worked on Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Metroid, Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Wii fit, Find Mii, Tomadachi Life, etc. It seems that a lot of the games that the artists worked on are relevant to Smash Brothers 4.

With that in mind, there is also Nobuko Toda who worked on the Metal Gear series. Could there still be a chance that Snake will make it into the game?

I would call out the Snake thing being wishful thinking at best, but you gotta remember Pac-Man. When we heard originally that Namco was working on this game, many people were speculating if he would show up. Even though some people tried to disprove the rumors, look who we ave in the roster now!

You can already do this with the 3DS Sound Channel. Just put some MP3s on your SD card and you can listen to music even with your 3DS closed.

Yeah but if I wanted to play MP3s that I downloaded myself I could just use a cheap MP3 player or even my phone. This is more useful for when you only have your game system and a single game on you.

oh cool, yuzo koshiro did the arrangement for the x/y trainer battle theme here! that explains why the orchestral instruments actually sound good. it's too bad that song's composition is complete ass.
