NDS Model Ripping Tutorial

I know i shouldent be bumping this but when i open in 3dsmax its distorted and in blender the UV is messed up (Zelda Phantom Hourglass)

Me too! When i tried to open Bowser Jr model from NSMBDS the textures are messed up.

I ripped Giratina from Pokémon Platinum Version, but it was rejected because it's apparently missing a texture (lambert3), which MKDS didn't convert.

Interestingly, this texture is completely absent when browsing on DS explorer programs.

its most likely a shadow object thats under him- oh... from the Press Start screen? im not sure what Lambert3 could be...

I'm now having the same problem with Diamond/Pearl. The .mtl files list textures that aren't listed in DS file browsers and aren't exported with MKDS Course Modifier.

This time it's with buildings. The textures for the light shining from the buildings are missing. Since buildings probably all have the same color light, is it possible that one light texture exists in the game data, used for every building, and is stored separately?

Here's yet another model that MKDS Course Modifier hates:
Celadon Restaurant

It crashes when exporting it, and the .mtl doesn't specify a texture for the inside of the doorway, so it's impossible to manually fix.

Should look like this:

.bmp   stupid2.bmp (Size: 163.18 KB / Downloads: 464)

Instead looks like this:

.bmp   stupid1.bmp (Size: 426.07 KB / Downloads: 430)

Can somebody please help me figure out what to do when the editor refuses to fully convert a model? Even when I manually extract the texture, it still ends up blank.

Or, better yet, suggest an alternative program?

EDIT: Well, I think I just solved the problem. Turns out there's an error when I export the textures to PNG, but works fine when I export them to TGA.

for Some reason I cannot open console tool it is just a bunch of files... Sad
