Is the game gonna be all shadows like that? Makes it look like a sunset would be the best background, y'know?

Got the sprite in the previous post nearly complete so yeah and advice would be great. Mainly I am trying to make it look less like an organic creature but stick with the Komodo Dragon look.

Hey, I got a small animation done of my character Jax, its a basic left straight jab.

The arm animates well, but he needs some slight build-up before the jab, I think.

Some others tend to say similar things but I myself would disagree due to it being a jab. But i'll take it into consideration for other type of punches. But as of right now I made a mushroom creature, as of now I call him Earl. No reason behind it just like the name.

I'm getting some Mother/Earthbound vibes from this guy.
Anyway, the sprite is overall good, but the feet could be rounded a little to make the soles look less blocky. As for the arm that is concealed by most of the body, try fixing that to make it look a little more appealing. Thanked by: -Ash-

Anyways, I have a few sprites here, the top left one is just a quick recolor and edit of one of my older sprites to fit the style. So in order we have, Weedly, Ent-ertainer, Ge-knome, Mush Walker, Rusty, and Gel Monoliths. Rusty actually started out as a Steel Poison pokemon type which is kinda funny. Thanked by: Paladin

Got another update, replaced the old robot with this new much cuter design, as I was told by a lot of people that the design and such didn't fit the rest of the cartoony style. So I went and made Nibs. Also finally got to making the player sprite and a sprite of one of my other characters in the style. so far quite happy with each sprite.

These look quite great, but the gel monoliths bother me. The shading is off, so it appears a bit too square, you should make it look rounder and more jelly-like.

Well thats just it, they are meant to be squareish. like a monolith. I was trying to go for something thats not seen often. Thanked by: Paladin, Sevenstitch

I like the idea of the gel monoliths, but what if you defined the shape a little more? something like this maybe?
i tried a little on my own, and this is what i came up with.. not really sure if they even fit your style you got goin on there Not really sure if they help any, but thought id share them anyway otherwise, i like what you've been posting lately keep it up Thanked by: -Ash-

Hmm...and while you're at it, AshuraAlchemist, why not add some hue-shifting and alpha transparency for some slimier slimes? They seem a little dull right now.
That's my best shot. Here, the left slime shifts from red to yellow, the middle slime shifts from blue to pink and the right slime shifts from cyan to yellow (my favorite). You don't have to deaturate your sprites as much as I do, but if you tone down their vibrancy you can squeeze some better hue-shifting out of them. Thanked by: Paladin
Well I took some of the advice, and went with a bit more blobby and yet more shaped design. And included a flan version as I thought it would be funny.

Doesn't really look like a monolith but more of a square-box covered in slime
