Yeah the title got me thinking this was Sonikku,

And that is the best sonic I've seen in a while, I love the smooth colors, overall fantastic job! The only thing that makes it short, is that spin dash. The spin dash has too jagged shading, needs more colors, maybe one more shade, and round out the shading more, then blend the lightsource in with the sprite.
