viewtiful joe red hot rumble SUCKS
#1
a few years ago i bought viewtiful joe red hot rumble because im a fan of the franchise. i was expecting something fun and interesting kinda like i dunno ssb or some other fighting tournement game but what happened sucked.

the gimmic in every fight the constant interruptions due to minigames the awkward controls blech cant even use your vfx powers when you want. i know they were trying to make it origanal in comparison to other fighting games but jeeze there is nothing wrong with taking a couple of ques from the greats, or heck just leaving it a basic fight game with elements from viewtiful joe.

i think that if they had done it right the combination of viewtiful joe in a fighting tournament game would have been amazing and revolutionary. but they dident know how to make a good fighting game so it suffered.

what are your views on red hot rumble

I dunno, I haven't played it for quite a few years, but...

When I played it a while back, I considered it a fun party to play with a few friends. Some of the mini games were actually fun and even a bit competitive at times, but if I was to think of it as a fighting game, I can see why it would appear so terrible.

I had fun with it as a kid, so I'm gonna vote that I liked it.

Never played it, never cared for it.

If I'm gonna get into it I'd rather just buy the original game and a gamecube controller (and a memory card)

It's okay.

It's not the best fighting game of all time or anything but there's way worse. I kind of wish they had more straight-up fighting arenas than just the backstage. It's interesting, competing in different ways to earn money (it's almost like if WarioWare were a party fighting game which is kind of neat), but a few more traditional gamemodes like stock match would've been nice too.

(Honestly I'm surprised people remember it exists.)

i agree if they made the more gimmicky levels like an optional mode and added in more strait forward fights it would have been alot better. as it stands you have to focus on so many other things its difficult to fight especially when a minigame item is picked up
