That's exactly what i'm going for, I'm glad you caught on to it

(I'm not actually using no shading though, just very minimal shading. There are a few places where I use a little bit of shading for definition)

The sword slash looks a little stiff to me. Maybe bend the back and the legs more?

Hmm, how about twisting the hips or moving them forward a bit (basically small weight shifting)? It seems like a neutral attack, so just try adding in more subtle movements.
