Do you think that it will work with the new ruby and sapphire when it comes out? there are so many new mega's to get our hands on (but they will probably get patched in to x and y anyway). It's almost certainly going to have the 7.0+ encryption on it just like Super Smash Bros. for 3DS has, which means that I probably won't be able to get at those anytime soon... SSB was dumped though, so yeah. Only specific people have those files, though, it's not something that just anyone can get their hands on currently.
Can someone send me the .bch files for all of the Pokemon models?

The reason would mostly be you need a toolset.
DS has Tinke
SNES Has VSNES
GBA Has VBA(Awesome tile viewer)
Wii Has Dolphin.
3DS has...None really.
I imagine they ARE Some but considering that 3DS Ripping started like two months ago they wouldn't be a very reliable toolset I imagine.

Did you say it started two months ago?

Indeed I did. Maybe longer. But making a toolset that can easily rip from the 3DS's file system take time. like ALL the consoles before it.

I know this doesn't export the models with their rigging or weighting, but I still find it cool nonetheless: http://gbatemp.net/threads/extracting-mo...st-5119500

Indeed. So do we have a toolset yet?

If you're going for the rigging information, though, it's pretty ridiculous. Several things just don't add up... Or if they are, it's not obvious.

I've been studying reverse engineering for quite a while and I'd like to attempt parsing it for practice (because you said it's relatively simple).

Sharing ROM content is against this site's rules
There are existing converters which you can try to replicate (bch2obj & bch2png, python and go and c# languages) once you have a valid BCH file. If you follow along the source code (and its comments) you can get a feel as to how the converter works; from there you can try to expand/port code as needed.

Funny, I thought this was The VG Resource, not Xentax.

Whole ROMs, sure, but it's not against the rules to post up a file or two for others to take a look at the format(s) in question, though.
That's how a lot of cases like this get solved (and content gets up on the site), after all.
