Pokémon Model Ripping Project
Hey all, i need some help with the meowscarada model in C4D. I don't know how to put the eye textures correctly. Also, am i dumb or does the meowscarada folder poster in TMR not have the ACTUAL eye textures?

In Scarlet & Violet, there's no "put together" eye textures; They have colorized textures (.lym) that you basically have to manually recolor. I've been putting the Pokemon back together in Unreal Engine and that's basically what I've had to do (using UE because I'm working on a Pokemon mod for a game).

I personally hate it that way compared to the already "finished" eye textures from before like with Sword & Shield, but it is what it is. You just gotta get as close as you can possibly get to the right colors

I'm trying to port Pokémon SV Models such as Charcadet and it's evolutions into other programs/games, but there's some problem that hinders me from doing it. It's the colors that uses LYM texture. How can I apply the colors from importing the model to the Albedo with LYM texture in a good way? (I'm using Photoshop mainly, but I do have GIMP installed)

All "body*" materials are using different colors with LYM texture on the Albedo, so I had to make 5 different Albedo textures thanks to the LYM Texture. Is there any simplier method from making 5 textures to just into 1?(Check the imgur link)

And how can I edit the Eye's LYM RGBA channels,-

-to look like this? (I made a crappy edit of it, but I want to know how to make the texture as good as possible without the "white lines".):

Here's the result of how Charcadet looks like with the 5 Albedo textures and the Eye texture for Charcadet to look like this:

This is how it normally imports the model with the textures:

I am not satisfied with the result of my work. I want the textures to resemble just like how it looks like in the game. Any help would be so much appreciated!

Edit: Nvm, I got it sorted out. Just had to Bake the textures!

I'm somewhat new to texture editing, but if I may ask, how did you achieve the results of Body004 in your imgur photos? I'm working on a personal project and I would like to cancel out all the texture and just have solid base colors like the Body004 texture you have as well as how the XY-SWSH textures are?

Hey, I just downloaded some models from Models Resource, and there's a .txt file detailing how the materials are laid out. Can anyone help me decipher the file so I can texture the model properly? Thank youuuuuuuu.

What would be the best way to export animations from Sword/Shield .gfbanm files? I am currently using Switch-Toolbox to do it, however I am not sure what's the best format - SMD or SEANIM. As far as I know SMD does not support bone scaling and SEANIM looks kinda weird in Blender - for example on Gastrodon some bones have weird non-uniform scaling. Maybe there's a better alternative to Switch-Toolbox that allows to export animations directly to FBX?

Is there a way to import a BDSP Pokemon bones? (Since Plusle and Minun aren't in SV, BDSP are their most recent models and was hoping to be able to get their armature as well as mesh.)

Anyone know where the meshes are in the files for the different Tera Types? Like the balloons for Air, ax for Steel, etc.

Also, is there some type of "shared texture" for Tera Pokemon that gives it that edgy, glass-like look? I know how to make them have SOMEWHAT the same look in Unreal Engine, but it'd look better if I knew exactly how they look the way they do

Hi Mr. Talking Bush, I was wondering when the SWSH animations will come to the MEGA folder? I've seen that people have finally been able to rip them and I just wanted to know if you planned on adding them to it. Thank you for all the work you've done for the pokemon community. Smile

Hello. Does anyone know if there's another way to get model animations from legends arceus? The models from the MEGA link don't have any animations and the switch toolbox doesn't support PL:A - and it won't anytime soon, according to the developer.

Where can i import the Pokémon SwSh Trainer Animations? I have utilized the toolbox to import the maps, and npc’s and pokemon animations successfully. However, The gfpak’s that would contain the animations for the npc’s say they are unsupported when i attempt to import. Some files import successfully, other’s don’t. I believe i am doing something wrong here, so how can i import them in the toolbox?
