OK then I think I'm good. I'm at the part with all those holes and such (actually having trouble finding the right one..) Everybody is at or above level 20 with the best possible items equipped too.

I'm still at the lighter and fuel part
havent played in a while

does the game teach you how do do the rhythm-based attacks? The most I've done in a row is two, but that's from button mashing. I'm not sure what the correct timing is.

You need duster on your team, use his hypno thingy (its a key item, multiple use). It puts the enemy to sleep, which reveals they're heartbeat. The hearbeat is the music's rhythm you're supposed to match the beats with hitting A. The most I've ever gotten was 9. Its really hard.

Take this time to lvl up your characters a level or so on the snake cattle down by the railway. use PK LOVE and PK Freeze every round as well as attack with Duster and Boney. heal at the factory

if you go back to factory ohsohe you can fight a harder version on Mr. Passion who drops the best weapon for duster for a while. dont put it off either,c ause it can only be done in this chapter

I got 16 once from a Spineless Lobster, the rhythm's probably the easiest. The one I hate is the one for those Big Bro's and Lil' Big Bros.

Also, halfway through Chapter 3, or basically done, I dunno, I finished Osohe Castle. o:
Got one. Smile

What makes Mother 3 different is that you aren't confined to four characters that you pick up as the game goes on. As you progress through the chapers, you will gain an assortment of main characters and secondary characters that tag along (some are useful, others just waste space).

Some characters will leave the party due to conditions and then come back, depending on the chapter. In fact, some chapters even change the party's leader, from Flint to Duster to (finally) Lucas.

And, with regards to the 16-hit combo, I did post a video of me doing it to Mr. Passion (in Battle Memory mode). It should come up any minute and I'll have the link. And here's the video.
My W.I.Ps:

Mushroom Kingdom Fusion (part of the FusionTeam)

Pokemon Topaz and Amythest

i got 16 by a fluke. its impossible to actually time it on an emulator because of lag. dont bother, just button mash

I've gotten 16 twice now. It's easier on battle themes with a slow BPM. I don't count on doing it often (lolemulatorlag), but I can get by.

I need to find a GBA flashcart. =/
