How exactly did you make these sprites? You didn't trace over the characters from gameplay footage, did you?
Also, I think it wouldn't hurt to give your shades more contrast and maybe reduce the palette a little.

O.P. updated
It looks a bit odd that Villagers shoes don't have an outline, and there's multiple jaggies on Greninja, though.

Eeeeey, I remember seeing your stuff in Spriters-Club all the time! I'm an admin over there.
Anyways, while you work is pretty nice, it just doesn't have a lot of utility, ya know? The characters you're drawing all have the same exact posing as their official art, so there really isn't must point in redrawing characters like this, tracing or not. You've got the right idea with your smaller sprites, though. Why not try animating some of those? (And no rotoscoping! )

Animating was something I actually did
But I no longer do these because SSF2 (im a dev) Also because Resprites
Your sprites worl well for animated stuff like the ones above, but if you take the frames separately I can count many problems. Jagged lines, gradient shading on Sonic's head and lack of contrast.
However the worst offender is the Villager, because his face is all jagged. The face is the most important thing to be rendered in a character, in my opinion (because that's the first thing you'll look at on a character, and if it looks weird then there will be problems). here's an attempt to fix his face, being: making his eyes more evened out, using lighter colors for the eyebrows to maximize space efficiency and toning down on the chin shading for more facial space Thanked by: Garamonde, recme, Virt, ClubbyBear

Oh, hi Lisnovski! It's cool to see familiar faces

Even if the first one is jaggy, those eye arcs that Villager has are very iconic their overall shape. Downplaying them isn't doing any favours, I feel. That upside-down U shape is what we're craving... Maybe there's a way to make it smoother, but to keep the sharp clarity? @Lisnovski But yeah, listen to the rest of Gors's post. A lot of these sprites have jaggy lines and looked traced, even if they aren't. You should have more contrasted colors and better shading.

Gors' edit was on the left. The original was on the right.
