What's Your Favorite Kirby Ability?

I love mike to much.
I like archer tbh, but i haven't used it to much so i like it.
Beetle is my go to ability in that game.

I hate sonic because after sonic 06 he became a steaming pile of shit that smells of failure and tears.

Generations was like the sonic game I've ever played ok? and I started playing his games when I was 3 years old with the original Gensis games.

For Kirby I really like Wheel and Mic. I haven't played too much Kirby Games but for the most part I've really enjoyed the ones I've played(Fuck crystal shards though).

I always liked the scenery and the ability mixing in Kirby 64. Made it fun to experiment with the combinations. (Electric and Cutter=Best Thing)

Isn't crystal shards the N64 game where Kirby was on a singular track on where he could move?

Because if so then I have no fucking idea on how it's the best in the series.

Meanwhile how anyone can like it is beyond me. Like seriously, the only N64 game that did having a character on a singular walking track correctly was Paper Mario. Kirby was not made of paper and should have had a tad bit more freedom as to where he could move rather then feeling like you're playing train simulator without an actual train and instead this pink blob. It might have had some good mechanics, but that doesn't make up for the shitty character controls. They were so bad that I had a hard time completing the first level, not because of my skill, but because Kirby felt so gross to control it took all of my power to not just put down my controller and walk away. (I usually give most games a 1 to 2 level buffer before I decide whether or not it is worth it.)

Kat, Your complaint about Kirby 64 being a side scroller doesn't make sense.
Kirby has always been about A to B Platforming.
He's a Platformer.
I'll admit, Kirby 64 WAS kinda missing out on being the first fully-3d Kirby game, but HAL isn't even that GOOD at making 3d Kirby games.
And Kirby 64 is regarded the best (Besides Super Star) because it's nostalgic.
I don't find it nostalgic TBH, but it's a good game in it's own right.
That is all I have to say in that regard.

EDIT: And I don't see how the controls were bad.
Literally the ONLY problem I've had about the controls were a few cheap deaths and hits but that's IT.

I know Kirby to be a platformer, which is what my problem was with the N64 one is because it didn't feel like a platfomer but like a sidescroller just due to how Kibry controls. I can understand having a bit of a set track to follow but to make it so strict that you can literally only move forward or backwards and have the joystick only work in those two directions was suffocating.

Also Nostalgia doesn't make something good. If that was the case then we wouldn't give Koopaul or other people who refuse to take off the rose tinted glasses as much flack as we do.

I'll agree on the nostalgia part. I don't find it nostalgic but I mean, that's (What I think anyway,)Kirby 64 is even remembered.
But I mean, The control were ehhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Okay, yeah I'll agree, Kirby 64 WAS kinda a letdown in the 3D department. That and multiplayer, but that's another time.
But I mean, The controls aren't as bad as you make them out to be.
They take getting used to but if you have Kirby's Dream Collection and a regular wii remote, the game controls VERY well(In my opinion, anyway).
As for the N64, I don't have Kirby64 for that system (Dream Collection) So I have no comment in that regard.
I mean the controls were tight (And NOT in a good way) But This isn't Superman 64 we're talking about here.
This is Kirby.
My recommendation: Get Kirby 64(And 5 Other games)In Kirby's Dream Collection.
That's Your best bet.

Nate I really hate to say this but do you have to be so wishy washy in your opinions? You don't have to conform to what the staff team may or may not like, you don't have to suck up to us.

You can like Crystal Shards if you want to, I'm not going to think less of you as a person for it. lmao we like the games we like and hate the ones we hate.

I'm not even comparing it to Superman 64 so why even bring that up? That makes no sense.

Eitherway I dislike the game for the controls on Kirby, I have a legit reason of which I've explained out. You can like it for whatever reason you wish, no big deal.

Well in that case I mean....I just have NEVER met a person Who dislikes Kirby 64. Especially For the controls.
