So....game? .o. Judging by that you want to keep the chars square, i still think you can do some things to some characters....like Yoshi, Kirby, or Jigglypuff. Also, Megaman has a HUGE head for his body.

Listen...I get the whole wanting to replicate the Atari 2600 graphics style and such, but the whole characters lacking outlines thing really isn't that appealing to the eye. They end up blending in with the background and anything else even remotely close to their colors. Even now, your sprites are blending in with the VGR forum theme. I'd suggest giving them an outline of some kind, even if it's not some type of black.

Also, you can still have hue-shifted shading, even if your shading is only a single level deep to make the sprites look better.

Gaaaah Fox's mic! And Mario's mouth! My eyeees! Very Sad

You're reaaally pushing it here with how you're placing your pixels. I'm getting the feeling that you blew up these characters in size then moved around a few pixels to "cheat" your way to better-placed details. Always work on your sprites as 1x pixel size THEN resize them!

... these don't look like Atari 2600 graphics.

It looks like TRHOW had some fun playing with a base, but I can't find much else to say. In my opinion the style is pretty stale and has become bland. I think you can play more with the proportions for each character, to keep them all to the same scale.

Decided to learn about more about spriting, I think I've improved quite a bit!

First, Bomberman emoticons!

Then the Monado's power!

Bomberman is looking very good, in my opinion.
But Shulk's sword looks a bit off, in my opinion.
I mean, the proportions doesnt look very good.

Also, silly question >_< why you're reposting the same sprites? i mean they're the same as the op.

Actually I just got rid of the old sprites from the OP and put in the new ones.

Things will get very confusing very quickly if you update the OP with new art. People won't know whether to critique the newest pieces you've posted, or the ones in the OP. I'd suggest leaving the OP alone even if it's old, cringe-worthy art that doesn't reflect your current skill level. That's pretty much how everyone handles their threads.

Anyways, it seems to me like some of the details on your Monado are off. I think the hilt should be a bit skinnier and the part surrounding the larger ring should be skinnier. The Bomberman is looking OK. You might want to try and anti-alias some of your curves if you're going to be turning White Bomberman's head at an angle like that. You might wanna smooth out the curve on the red ball, too.

Bomberman's lines look really jagged and rough. The eyes and the upper right edges really stand out in a bad way because of how sharp they are. It's especially bad on the X face. Spriting at an angle is hard, but just drawing a straight, pixel-thin diagonal line leaves gaps that make the line look less then solid.

I really don't see much difference from them, you might want, when you're updating a Sprite, to say what changes you made.
