I think this topic should go, as it feels kinda...creepy, and at the same time disrespectful to be talking about other people, especially when they're not around to see it. :/

To be clear, the phrase "back pedalling" brings up horrible emotion in me because of the old less pleasant days where it was basically used on me all the time. Still can't get over that. :V

I know this thread is somewhat disrespectful to other members, and I'm not trying to say the following out of any ill will.

Looking back maybe 5 or 6 years ago, probably bnewton despite the fact that I didn't like him very much. He was pretty much just one of your typical kids that didn't listen, came off as a know it all, and just got very defensive 24/7. I remember that led to a lot of arguments and even some other members (and myself looking back) gave him a lot of shit before he got banned. I remember back when he tried to be a part of the community again with a clean start and everything, but when I saw the last thread he made when he was making his sprites and he just didn't change as a person. I still remember making that post to him explaining to him why people were giving him criticism and if he wasn't going to listen he may as well just leave (I came off as pretty aggressive about it, but if he wasn't gonna make an effort to take a hint then someone had to say it.)

Looking back at all that though, I kind of understood his perspective of things because for a long time I was the same way as he was in several ways. But at the same time he needed to really just grow up a bit the same way everyone else does.

I don't usually feel sorry for a lot of members but Bnewton was just someone that I could make some exception for, because you know I did believe he wanted to change but I didn't see him put any effort into that.

In all honesty I mostly feel sorry for the mods. Trying to be "neutral" and "cool and collected" all the time. Some people deserve a bit of rage, but of course it isn't good for the site's image if Dazz suddenly started tearing into some asshole.

People who get banned, get banned for a reason - it's very rarely a first offence, and if it is a first offence, it's normally something pretty damn bad.

And people who don't listen to C+C, or say they do but keep doing the same crap, you can only smile and explain again and again so many times before they need a bit of tough love. People don't get better with kisses and rainbows.

I also feel bad for secretly shrugging off all of Zabaden's sprites and artwork years ago only to return and see he's become Leonardo De Vinci or some shit, like holy hell man look at his avatar for crying out LOUD. Until someone can convince me that that isn't Chris2Balls using some sort of alternate account, I don't believe this is the same person. The improvement is UNREAL
