Honestly I think that one will be too much of a landslide in favor of super star.

If you really wanna go for hard mode, go for Super Star vs. Kirby 64.

Even though I'll say that Kirby Super Star would win that round, Kirby's Dream Land 3 isn't without its own merits. The cute visuals are amazing in their own right, it feels good to use the animal buddies again, and it offers many puzzles and uses for the copy abilities.

Now, if it was Kirby Super Star vs. Kirby 64, that would actually provide a more satisfying challenge since both games have their strengths and weaknesses.

Kirby's Dream Land 3 was ruined by the fact you could just fly over most of the game. As for Kirby 64 vs Super Star? How on earth would 64 have a chance? I mean 64 was an "ok" game but Super Star just bulldozes it.

Kirby's Adventure/NiDL: Great game
Amazing Mirror: Good game, kinda annoying at times but still good
Kirby 3: Really slowpaced but the true ending is soooo worth it
Kirby 64: Same as 3, but it's even more gimmicky with the double power system. Didn't like it as much but it's still good
Super Star: 'Arcade' Kirby. Really amazing and a lot of stuff in one pack, but due to that I feel it doesn't have its own identity. It doesn't feel like one full game, but just a bunch of games that happen to share the same characters and physics and music. I don't know. Still amazing though

You can do that in practically every Kirby game. It's not a flaw, it's intended to give players that are new to video games an easy route to take when things are getting too difficult for them. After all, the Kirby series has always been about catering to video game newbies while still offering a fun romp for veterans.

... I'm not really sure why I'm defending my least favorite Kirby game.

Also I can't help but notice that Squeak Squad hasn't been mentioned even once here. That game was seriously underrated.

Speaking of Squeak Squad, is it bad of me to enjoy using the Triple Star copy ability more than the Master ability from the Amazing Mirror and the Star Rod from Kirby's Adventure?

As much as I can agree until the cows come home that the Amazing Mirror is a great game, there's just a lot of good things that make Squeak Squad a lot more appealing to me.

I feel that it's because it returns more to the classic Kirby game style while still retaining the best parts of Amazing Mirror. Collecting treasures that actually effect the gameplay such as providing new moves to copy abilities, increasing your health, changing Kirby's color, or the appearance of his belly were fantastic ideas. It honestly seems like they took a step backwards in later games like Returns and Triple Deluxe where the collectables didn't actually do much. They didn't even play a role in unlocking the true final boss like they have in past games.

The "belly system" was also a nice touch that I really enjoyed. The ability to store, mix, and in some cases, combine abilities was a fun gimmick that I think made the game more interesting. You could even store and combine stars together to make super strong projectiles that you could exhale at any time, even if you currently had an ability. Having to sacrifice a slot in order to collect treasure chests was another nice touch, as it forced you to decide what precious ability bubble you had to drop and gave you the feeling of creating situations of choice in a Kirby game, while actually remaining super simple.

Plus I really liked the Squeaks as characters. I hope they come back some day in a bigger role than what Mass Attack provided them.

What about Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble? My sis and I played the heck out of that. It was incredibly fun Heart. Actually probably the hardest of all the Kirby games, even if you did master the control scheme.

I loved Tilt 'n Tumble! Unfortunately it was only really playable on the original Game Boy Color ... it didn't work so well on the original GBA since the cartridge was more centered between your hands, and the SP was downright impossible, so trading up on your portable consoles made it difficult to replay. I did play a rom hack of it on my original Wii and I gotta say the wiimote's gyro controls actually worked extremely well, so its a pity it never saw a Virtual Console release. Oh well, here's hoping it will be VC release for the Wii U.

Actually in all honesty, I really wish the Hal team had used their idea for clay aesthetics and utilized it to make a new Tilt 'n Tumble game for the Wii U rather than a Canvas Curse sequel. Using the touch screen for Canvas Curse controls on the Wii U Gamepad suuuuuuucked ... but using its gyros for a TnT style game could have been thoroughly enjoyable.

Nope, I also really enjoyed that one. Played the hell out of the Game Boy one when I was a kid, too. Pretty darn fun puzzle games.

I'd love to see Star Stacker get a 3DS remake or something.

Most of Nintendo's SNES era puzzle IPs could fit their experimental F2P model prettty well.
