I would really like to see a new...
Blaster Master
Duck Hunt
Yoshi Safari
Metroid (pre Other M)
Kickle Cubicle
Wario Land (And Wario World)
Sonic Adventure
Ganbare Goemon
Phantasy Star... in the US
and that's just from the top of my head. There's so many games I would like to see more of. I would say certain Treasure games like Gunstar Heroes and Mischief Makers, but I remember them saying they never like to make sequels...

People within Capcom have been trying to get a new one made since around the turn of the millennium, and producer Yoshinori Ono has been pushing for it ever since Street Fighter 4 became a success. All it needs is the same treatment Street Fighter got: A new installment that retains the classic gameplay plus a few new features and mechanics here and there, all rendered with some spiffy modern production values.
They tested the water with that remaster - didn't sell well. I don't think it's coming back any time soon...

Is Drill Dozer (the original) even on the e-store? I mean the UK never got it (thank god Nintendo handhelds were region free back then) so that would be cool.
I'm also really surprised a new Ice Climber game was never made. Thought it would have been on the DS during the "experimental phase" (where games like Sega's weird black silhouette, Pac-Touch and Yoshi's Touch and Go or whatever they were called demanded full price). Personally I'd have it as downloadable game and have it about manipulating the character's rope (as in there B Up Jump from smash bros) with the stylus in order to get to the top quickly. Like UmiHara Kawase (what do you mean you don't know what that is?) but with 2 joined characters (Chaotix style [...you know what that is right?]) and some stylus rope goodness.
Not sure if Drill Dozer is on the e-store, if it is I'll have to get it though. I have the cartridge still but no gameboy advance to play it

Drill Dozer isn't on VC, and I honestly don't know if it will be. Game Freak won't allow most of the Pokemon games to be emulated because the games often have hardware gimmicks... they might not allow DD for the same reason.

Then I wish they'd realize how gimmicky and awesome a drill dozer game with the gamepad could be :'(

Let me throw out a few names:
Alter Echo (look it up. it's not that bad)
Ape Escape
NiGHTS
Dead to Rights
Prince of Persia
Destroy All Humans!
Viewtiful Joe
Jak and Daxter
Also Drill Dozer. That is one fun game.

Out of all those remasters they did, the only ones that did sell well were SF2 and MvC2. Which were the first ones to be released. Capcom themselves said the overall sales trend of all those remasters was downward, which means that regardless of IP each one sold less than the last. Meaning somehow MvC1 sold less than Jojo. So to me it's pretty clear that people were just getting tired of playing old games when newer ones were becoming available.

NiGHTS did come back. That game is more legend than substance though.

Not counting the port of the orignal game in 2012, the last NiGHTS game was back in 2007/08. I'm counting a game that has not had a sequel in the last 4-5 years. Takashi Iizuka has said he wanted to make a third game but that was back in 2010.

So Uncharted 4 will be a revival of a franchise because Uncharted 3 came out 4 years ago in 2011... 4-5 years is hardly a forgotten franchise.
Hell there's a 5 year gap between Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy. Hell Metroid Prime 3 came out in 2007 (and if you count Metroid Other M that's still 2010) and it would be mad to say Metroid is a forgotten franchise. A franchise that desperately needs a 2D entry again, but not forgotten.
So no, NiGHTS doesn't count. I mean the last NiGHTS game may have been forgettable, but I don't think that makes it a forgotten franchise.

Everyone knows Street Fighter and Marvel. Not may know Darkstalkers. JoJo is weird enough to have a crazy following. I love DarkStalkers, hell like my love for the franchise is insane. But it's just not well known enough to claim it's own space in the world now, times have sadly changed.

A Glover revival that allows 2-Player co-op between the left and right hands.
I didn't like the direction the unfinished Glover 2 was going in. It was becoming less Glover and more Banjo-Kazooie. Also the story annoyed me a bit as it implied left-handedness was inherently evil.
