If You Won $1,000,000 on a Game Show...
#16
here are my options i guess

id get a car. not a expensive one, just a nice looking one.

a better pc would also be an option, since this windows vista pc i have cant even play awesomenauts without lag.

google fiber

making a game would be cool. i probably wont get as much money as i got from the game show, but i guess it'll just be fun in the long run.

and lastly, id... probably buy people presents. people like my sister, my cousins, some GOOD AS HECK friends, etc..

I think this is a question the entire Internet's been asking

for like 15 years

(i'm pretty sure the answer is "we got pretty good at what we did and Card Sagas Wars made great resume fodder and oh god dammit now we have lives. what a flippin' bummer"
the problem is the two guys can't trust anyone else with their work, and that work just happens to be the most ambitious fangame idea ever)

Honestly only Mother 4 is a comparison becuase they're both large scale projects that are not getting any money upon completetion but it'll be the finest early work knit in your cap you could ever do.

tl;dr: It's an on-and-off project for the two when they aren't busy doing paid work that feeds them.

Makes sense. We should all strive to have an ambituous life long project we can always come back to when we aren't trying to keep the family fed. Guess that's one less thing on the list.

First I'd get a better PC. I'd put a chunk of it aside to pay off my student loan when I'm done with university (or just use it instead of loaning). I'd keep another section of it for travelling, since I plan to go to America (both north and south), Japan, and more of Europe at some point. I would also give a reasonable chunk to family and friends (whether as presents or just money would depend on the specific people). Some of it I might also use to help fund game development projects (like the one I'm in now).

The rest I'd just keep for stuff like living costs, and buying stuff later on when I need it (car, house, etc). I don't think it would be enough to live off for the rest of my life though, I'd definitely still get a source of income.

A house
Furniture for the house (such as a chesterfield or an ottoman)
A K car (such as a Plymouth Reliant)
A tree fort in the my yard
A "little tiny fridge" to put in the tree fort, containing pre-wrapped sausages.
A fur coat (but not a real one)
An exotic pet (such as a llama or emu)
The remains of Joseph Merrick
A limousine to drive to the store
A lot more Kraft Dinner, and expensive ketchup - dijon ketchup - to go with it.
A green dress (but not a real one)
Some art (such as a Picasso or a Garfunkel)
A monkey
and your love
Tsunami Bomb - The Simple Truth
We could run away
Leave behind anything paper
Not knowing where we're going to stay
When there's no Mondays

You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
When I'm in your arms, I feel safe from harm and sorrow too
You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
But most of all, nothing couldn't be solved when I'm with you

Use the money to fund my dream game "Project Colorwheel". Even if it was a failure in sales I could die happy seeing it come to life.

I actually know a guy who owns a monkey. He used to own one of the bigger gun places around here actually, but he and his business partner had a "difference" of some sort and he just sort of became angry. I don't get how though. I mean, you've got a monkey.

I'm pretty sure you'd be an angry guy if you have to deal with all the non-stop shit-flinging around the clock

both from your business partner and your monkey

Come to think of it I'd donate to this site so Dazz could have 2 million and make a game company so he, Gors, and other members could make some best selling games for newer consoles using pixel art.

I wanna play as their sprites and see what you guys got at max potential. Im curious considering Dazz once said that he worked on "AAA titles" and Gors'(along with the other members) sprites more than just amazing. Not to mention the many programmers here. With teamwork I could see the donation option doing more than just removing ads.

(Free DLC, yeah baby Smug)

See, that was my idea of it too, until I actually met the guy and found out some questionable stuff from his son in law (I had no idea until he told me. We'd been friends for like 3 years by that point), but that's not something to discuss here. I just thought the monkey thing was funny.

Pay off the Taxes on it, Pay off bills, buy a car (Probably a Tesla), offer to pay off Brendan's Mortgage or buy him a new house to live in with no Mortgage.

Then buy/build my own house with no mortgage and a bunch of Arcade Machines.

Probably save the rest of it for living expenses and in general to continue to take care of myself. I'll obviously keep working at my job so I'll just be a secret rich guy.

You realize this wouldn't sway him right. Hell, I doubt he'd accept that deal even if you offered him the full million.

Why do you care about Arin's opinions on video game design? It takes him like an hour just to figure out how to walk.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he the same guy who created that Sequelitis video about Zelda where he had nothing really positive to say about Skyward Sword?

Moving on, though, the one thing I'd like to do with money like that is invest it in a small studio and a team of animators to help me take the world of web animation by storm.
