Okay good, it's not just me.

It could be the files I unpacked as well; there was a not of other character data mixed into it (although the original person who tried ripping these said that this would happen).

I'm going to try unpacking Adachi's data files from this and see if I get a similar result. It might just be that the X-box disc is just... not doing things right? Different encoding? I dunno; I'll give it a shot during my lunch today.

I believe that you can use that program that I linked to previously to display some stuff from this game. Hipster, that is.

I'm fairly certain that was how I ripped from the original release.
Tsunami Bomb - The Simple Truth
We could run away
Leave behind anything paper
Not knowing where we're going to stay
When there's no Mondays

You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
When I'm in your arms, I feel safe from harm and sorrow too
You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
But most of all, nothing couldn't be solved when I'm with you

Tried it on the decompressed .pac, no dice. It opens the file, but all the .hips look messed up and just not really helpful.

Yeah, I just checked the Adachi files from the disc and it's the same thing. Could it be something wrong in the decompression process?

It's compressed. (The most basic form of RLE possible)
Interestingly, the texture sheets aren't 1024 by 1024 for these. That actually makes things much easier, because the pieces are pre-cropped.

I can adjust my program if you want.
Edit:
Here it is.
Should work the same as before. Separate each animation into folders and drag the palette then folder onto the window.

Oh thank god, it works.

The only thing is it seems not to want to convert any folders that have more than five files in them, but I don't care, I can work around it.

Thank you guys so much for your help and your patience. It means the world to me.

EDIT: Hm... seems like large files won't convert when in a folder either. Odd.

Oh, I think I know why.
Java is probably running out of memory, because images are hogs.
I'll try to optimize it, but it will be a bit, probably this weekend.

Okay, cool! Yeah, some of these images are ridiculously huge when decompressed.

Hm... I don't know if it's related to the current problems, but none of Rise's files will convert at all. I've uploaded one of the packs here, just in case it is a different format.

Yes, those files have the palette data inside them. Kinda odd, but whatever.
I want to fix the memory stuff before I update the program, though. I'm quite busy for the next few days, but I'll work on it during any free time and get it done as soon as I can.

...these files are such a cluster fluff. Her files don't even follow the same naming conventions as the other characters.

Oh well; I'll save her for last. And no worries; you've been such a big help, and real life comes first anyway. I've got plenty of other characters to convert, and someone's getting me the data files for Margaret too.

Truckin' right along with this. Cute

I know there's some alignment issues, so I'll probably update once Ploaj's program is updated. But more importantly, can someone help me confirm if Margaret's raw data is complete on the PS3 disc? I've been having a hell of a time getting my computer to read my disc, and hell if I know why.

Ignore that last post; I blame 5 AM and the fact that I forgot my portable disc drive has two different connections.

So, I've got my PS3 disc ripped and I'm looking at bddata.bin, which I assume is where I get all the meat and potatoes of this game. How do I decompress this so I can get into the rest of the files?

(Also, this is kind of fascinating. The PS3 disc has two different movie folders, which I assume are English and Japanese. Two language versions complete on PS3 but not on X-box? What's up with that? I'm dying to see if this is the case, but they're in .pam format. wtf is that?)

Can't really do much if we can't see it. If it's too big to upload, use a file splitter to upload the first 100/200 MBs or so.
