It was practically huge, and it got finished by a very close margin. link please. Also I'm not expecting much other than just dying off after the first or second round. Also agreeing with Tyvon, change the name. TUGS is like a PT tradition. More like everyone was being butthurt that their choice didn't succeed, so we agreed to homogenise the two top entries. That said, neither of the members who submitted those entires has actually bothered to create a design that does this. I'm tempted to; but it's probably better for my own health if I was was my hands of the matter. Cool Yoshi, the number of beginners that could enter this competition isn't really that much of a big deal. The main draw to the thing was (and still is, assuming the remenant PT still runs this thing) the big guns - the really good (often semi-pro to pro) spriters that attract the attention of others. Even if one or two actually show up here, it's nowhere near enough to have a balanced tournament. As something of a low intermediate, I wouldn't say anything I produce would be especially attention-drawing.

just shorted it to PATSR

You've never seen the mascot because deep down, Dazz hate-*shot*
Aaaanyway, did you see who entered the mascot competition? I entered that for kicks; I ripped off the ProMotion mascot and pasted an ugly face on him. Most of those who entered don't even sprite, iirc. But, hey, who's to stop you from attempting a TUGS? PT won't be having it anytime soon anyway.

Well, obviously, not called TUGS, and its not like PT owns the rights to a Sprite-based tournament
TT4NAOPATSR FTW. :B (10-27-2008, 06:26 PM)Mr. Buttbutt Wrote: You've never seen the mascot because deep down, Dazz hate-*shot*fyi pt has been discussing a TUGS for a while and i've been contemplating it, the only problem is that nobody is posting to make the baord active (10-27-2008, 06:45 PM)LilGrim1991 Wrote: Well, obviously, not called TUGS, and its not like PT owns the rights to a Sprite-based tournamentyou're right, but would you like it if someone decided to come to tSR, notice that you have a compo in planning, and then take it before you get a chance to use it? there's nothing wrong with throwing a sprite-based tournament, but taking the name that another forum has a tradition of using is what's fucked up
