Yeah, and this is what I am doing, actually.
The sheet shown in those previews is my master assembly sheet. It's a like 11-layer .pdn
yeah, the "objects" I have mixed feelings where to put.
And simple fact is, all of the objects behave more like enemies.
the stage backgrounds, themselves, will go on their own sheets.
Currently, I am using 512x512 sheets, but these really large sprites with many many frames likely may go on 1028x1028.
(and maybe larger than that!)
Stage-based enemy and object sprites was considered, but ultimately dropped in favor of smashing them all together.
I could still easily split objects off into their own thing, very easily.
Speaking of sprite organization, though, I have a hard time doing ANYTHING with the boss sprites you ripped.
Anyways, I'll work more on this project in a bit.
