Is there a way for this to be avoided or is it intended?
I'm pretty sure this is fixed now. Thanks for pointing that out! It definitely wasn't intended.
So how can I help with tags?

At the moment, you can't. But we'll be setting it up so you can hopefully next weekend. No promises though!

No promises specifically on the "next weekend" part, not the helping part. We'll need all the willing volunteers we can get!
A rough estimate of "things needing tags" comes to just under 100,000.
Fun times.

Code: The Legend of Zelda, Zelda, Nintendo, Capcom, Action, Adventure, Link
While the series name will frequently be in a series' title, it allows us to use it as a tag and part of the tags system, so you can cross reference to see every Zelda game that Capcom worked on, for example.
Any thought has been given to a "true" cross reference search system? It seems a little bit redundant to me to put "The legend of zelda" tag on a Zelda game.
There is going to be a separate page that lets you search for a comma-separated list of tags for cross-searching. It may seem redundant in the case of a Zelda game but attaching the series title to the game is important if one doesn't contain the other. The rest is just for consistency.

It's so that one could look for, say, protagonists from the legend of zelda. Since it'll all be on the tagging front, it won't use the basic information when searching as that isn't "tagged" data. Some games may throw this off the scent, such as Sonic Blast Man being put in when searching for Sonic.
