Was originally looking to watch BVS (the DC film, not your mum) but after the terrible reviews from the internet and people who I know - think I'm going to pass. For some reason Zootopia is Zootropolis over here - but still as a massive Disney fan (and after amazing reviews, Disney seem to be on a roll lately) I'm obviously going to see it... as soon as I get paid.

Been watching a lot of horror films lately, and although most have been pretty meh (a good horror film is just the stuf of myth), I did enjoy It Follows (even if the ending was a bit limp) and also really really liked The Babadook (scared the girlfriend enough that I'm not allowed to jokingly do the voice or knock 3 times loudly, ever).

Also watched Dead-Pool. If I was 14/15 I would love that movie. However I am not, and I don't get the hype.

Forgot to say that I watched Deadpool last week as well. It was good, not AMAZING but good. I enjoyed it but not as much as people seemed to imply I would (or should). I'm pretty sure my sense of humour is different to that of most people who recommended and hyped it, but I also kind of expected that so it wasn't too big of a disappointment.

Anyone ever watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory?
I watched it a few weeks ago and it's a really good movie. In my opinion, i think it's better than the remake, but both are really good movies.

The new Jungle Book is so goood. Some of the best CGI animals I've ever seen, AND it had a child actor that was actually good at acting what is this madness.

I like how Disney's been going the route of reinterpreting their old cartoon films with dark live action remakes. I guess it's their way of saying, "WE GET IT! WE ADDED TOO MUCH FLUFF TO THE CARTOONS! WE KNOW THAT THE ORIGINAL STORIES ARE DARK AND GRIM, OKAY?! HERE'S YOUR FUCKING DARK AND GRIM MOVIE!"

It's a good idea really. I mean everyone grew up with the animated classics - so there's a massive audience who would love to see them a bit closer to the originals. Not sure they'll ever do a serious Fox and Hound (being that Copper gets shot in the head at the end) but well, we'll see.

A darker Beauty and Beast would be really awesome though.

Watched Captain America: Civil War with group of friends. It was pretty good, didn't fully understand some things but that's probably because I haven't seen The Winter Soldier yet Also Spiderman wasn't actually as bad as I was expecting, I was kinda worried because he's my favourite super hero and I originally know him as Tobey Maguire, but Tom Holland did a fairly good job.

I went and seen Angry Birds yesterday. And to be honest, I was actually surprised with how decent it turned out to be.
What's more refreshing, this is one of the few video game movies that didn't suffer from being turned into garbage.
Probably helps that Rovio was heavily involved in it. And that alone really helps it being a good adaptation.
Or should I say prequel, as it explains how the birds fight the pigs to begin with, by expanding on the official backstory.

Even critics at RT, IMDB and Meta Critic gave it mixed to average ratings and reviews. RT surprising me as that site is often mocked for their negative reviews by their critics. It even came second at the box office, just behind Captain America: Civil War. 

I really liked the animation though, as they used 2D animation gimmicks you think would be hard to accomplish in CGI, like how the birds' beaks and pigs ears face one angle instead of straight. Even using smears and wheel motion blurs for Chuck's running.
I think the animators are the same ones that did Hotel Transylvania, which also used a lot of 2D gimmicks.
Even Pixar did the cheating angle thing with Fear from Inside Out, as he looks too awkward when his head faces the front.

As for the voice acting. Pretty fitting with the characters, I reckon. Like Peter Dinklage as the Mighty Eagle. It sounded like he had fun.
There was some funny stunt-casting similar to Vin Diesel as Groot: Sean Penn as Terrence the big red bird, who only speaks in grunts.

From me, this movie gets a 7 out of 10 stars, for being one of the few video game movies that didn't suck.

Some movies I like are:
-The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (both of them, but moreso the first)
-The Brave Little Toaster and both of its sequels
-The Lion King
-Wreck-it Ralph
-Short Circuit 1+2
-Robots
-(please don't attack me for this but) A Troll in Central Park
-And one movie that never came to be, that I think is a shame: Super Paper Mario (yes this was actually considered to be adapted into a movie)

You gotta feel bad for James Rolfe right now. Since he uploaded that video explaining why he's refusing to see the new Ghostbusters, it has triggered all the femintards and assholes calling him the same thing Paul Feig called the fans and nerds. Even going as far as insulting his wife.
Seriously, this is getting out of hand. Like Fantastic Four levels of a shitstorm, only involving idiots that use sexism as a reason for the criticism.

It looks terrible because of the following reasons:
1) The jokes are not funny and very predictable. Made me cringe and face-palm, to tell you the truth.
2) Use of cliche lines, with "That's gonna leave a mark!" being one of the big offenders.
3) Bad special effects even by today's standards.
4) Trying to be relevant. IE selfie sticks, dubstep(?) remix of the theme song, gross-out jokes, and pop-culture references.
5) Chris Hemsworth plays a brainless hunk that even women can still find sexist, as its the tired stereotype of what kind of man women want.
6) Wasted cameos of the original cast. Leaked emails even reveal Bill Murray was threatened with a lawsuit if he didn't make a cameo.
7) Leslie Jones, from what we've seen, acts like a stereotypical sassy black lady. Is that all her shtick is? Not really familiar with her.
8) Blatant product placement, including some of Sony's own products. Might say its Happy Madison levels of bad product placement.
9) Melissa McCarthy has been concerned about the production. She even said the studio told her they don't care what she thinks.
10) The main villain takes the form of the ghost from the logo. This could've worked, but it happens without explanation. (See the leaked plot)
11) So far, the ghosts are just neon blue undead humans rather than taking monstrous forms that was common with the franchise.
12) Paul Feig seems like a grade A douche, seeing as he doesn't take criticism properly. Sounds eerily like Josh Trank and his triad on Twitter.
13) Just from the trailers. It looks like it's copying way too much of the original movie, including using the mass hysteria quote.
14) To every fan and nerd, including girls. It really looks like cheap cash-grab using nostalgia and the wrong kind of girl power as bait.

If negative feedback and boycotting doesn't make this movie bomb, its competition most certainly will.
Considering how there's much better summer blockbusters coming out on the same month.

And being a fan of Ghostbusters, I am not happy with what I've read and seen. Will I see it? It's really up to me to decide.
I've talked to some nerdy women I know around my area, and even they said it looks shit.
