Starting a sprite thread, because I feel like my art needs some work.

Some portraits of a bearded fellow.

Some grassy terrain. Currently working on it so it looks less ...fake, I suppose.

Finally, some men, both at war and after it.

Guys are being made larger now, with main protag Flint looking a bit more swole.

Your run is very stiff, his body should not remain stationary like that. In fact, his body should rise and fall as he walks, rising when his legs are together, and falling when he takes a step. it might also help to have his body turn back and forth a bit as he walks, however it is possible to keep a slightly stiff motion as a stylistic choice i suppose.

Alright, I've tried putting in Valo's suggestions, and I think it's starting to look better now!

Just need to smooth it out a bit, and it should be okay!

I can't speak for Valo but I think what he ment when he said that the body was stiff is that it doesn't rotate, not neccesarily that it doesn't move in-animation. There is very little to indicate that the character actually swings his arms since his upper body doesn't move, it makes the thing feel very robot-y. Try walking in real life, and I think you'll notice that you actualy rotate your upper body on the horizontal axis, however subtle it may be. Try to capture that in the animation.

Alright, so I've tried making improvements including adding a more prominent rotation and some minor improvements to some legs/heads.

His torso is still not rotating(edit:not rotating ENOUGH). here, let me provide an example. [Image: IB70VFM.png]
Notice that as the character swings their arms forward and back, the upper body rotates to allow the shoulders to move. We see his chest in the first frame, and as his arm moves foward, we see his back. Thats the kind of rotation we need to see. Given the angle of your character, we wouldnt see his back, but we would clearly be able to see that stripe in the center of his shirt moving side to side.

Oh, I see now! Thank you, I'll get to work on it.
