the hat is poor. Don't even look like water to me. You should use more white highlights (water is shiny, and not dull).

Also, it's pretty incomplete.

Bad choice for a novice.

As seen in http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/kirby/.../Water.jpg this image, Water Kirby has a transparent body, as well as waves on his head. In your sprites, it would seem he has a crown...of some sort, or mountains...Yeah, I'm not sure what it is. Shape issues aside, the colors are kind of dull, and need more contrast.

Overall, a kind of lazy edit. Try again.

His hat looks very weird on him.
Compare the way the hat looks like to the hat on Ice Kirby. The water hat is supposed to look like waves, not like spikes.
