At a future date. Since it's not part of the main fw it needs a separe download. I 100% can rip the models unlike with the puzzle swap dlc tiles which I still haven't found yet. It might be somewhere we can't rip from yet in the 3ds memory.

got the puzzle swap pics. Rest are dlc which aren't bundled with the fw but I can still get em http://imgur.com/a/3ocei

Cool! I can't wait to see the mii's ripped! Looking forward to it!
I hope the different parts/shapes for the head will be tedious to rip as there are so many, but I look forward to seeing the mii body and its parts ripped soon! Smile
(Though I wonder how color and size works for the mii body and parts for the model, have always been curious about that.)

Also I just realized with this that we will be able to finally use the 3d models of mii's and out together our mii's and be able to create/3d print custom mii figures finally! Totally psyched for this!

size just scales the bones and color is applied through shaders. I can convert them to rgb values and 1x1 ping textures due to how they are a single solid color. Eyes and other features are textures are best ripped from the wii which I already have rips for.

Cool, though not all of the parts are textures, most of them are textures and some of them are models. Like certain noses, hair, etc are/have models, while other noses, eyes, etc. are textures. And there are some new noses and other features on mii's the 3ds and wii u I believe that were NOT on the wii version, so this would be the perfect chance to get those.

Ohhh so exited, can't contain the hype inside!

(If you want an example of a nose not found in the wii version, but it present in the 3ds version look at the link to the image below.)

Well AR games and Face Raiders should be an easy rip. Can't get the .cia of the extra mii plaza dlc to extract using ctrtool.

Anyone up for game banners? Those are the top screen game icons. Really easy to rip as they are all in the same format. I can rip them with animations as fbx since the animations aren't that big. Boycotting .dae though because it's outdated and hard to work with. Hopefully others will follow. The only major program for working with 3D models that doesn't support fbx is Photoshop anyways. (it's got a nice raytracing engine actually)

Could you also do the bottom-screen icons (large and small versions) for system apps that can't be ripped with braindump?

I've got the dsi and ds banners with animations. Rest aren't part of the home menu's files and are likely only packed with the vc title. Am dumping an example of each of those games now.

Ok. Now I have DSiWare, DS, GB, GBC, GBA, NES, Game Gear, TurboGrafx, SNES, and Super Famicom banners. If you know where I can get a Japanese .CIA or .3DS for a Famicom or Famicom with Disk System vc game pm me. I'm currently not having any luck finding either as I live in the states. I could probably flash my old 3ds with japanese firmware, but I don't have any form of currency that would be valid in the Japanese e-shop.

Also, these rips include the little chime that plays when you select one.

If you do the Japanese firmware thing, you could probably buy a Japanese eShop card off Ebay. Most sellers will simply email the code to you.

Anyway, I'm looking for the CIAs you mentioned, but it's not easy. There don't seem to be any CIAs of Japanese VC games.

PS How did you get SNES and Super Famicom?

PPS: How about these banners?

Turns out the official mario kart snes European release has some hidden banner files. When I first ripped it only the TV was in the model. Turns out there are actually multiple models in it's banner.bin and those were of the super famicom and snes for different languages. Not reason the super famicom was there was because Europe got it. The original famicom was Japan exclusive. This is true for many other banners too. The official ones are really fucking weird too. They have a bunch of odd sound effects that afaik never get used beside the chime when the game is selected and the couple clicks you hear when switching apps/pages.

Maybe one of them is distorted for the fwoosh when you blow into the mic to spin icons around

Also I can rip those easily. Most of them aren't part of the home menu though. Good news is I have a decrypted cia of the entire firmware so it's as simple as dropping the .cia onto a .bat I've made to dump the exefs and romfs.
