[Music] VST SNES Instrument Emulator
#1
So if you tend to make music digitally and want that SNES authentic sound, there is a VST plugin that emulates the soundchip fairly accurately.

The plugin is known as C700 and can be downloaded from here: C700 Download
The page in in japanese but thankfully the important information is in english and so is the plugin itself once installed.
You can import BRR files, SPC files, or WAV files. So you can either use accurate SNES samples from games, or try and get a sound you have lying around to run through it.

To use C700 you need a program that is compatible with VST/VSTi plugins, such as FL studio or other D.A.W. programs and load it through whatever means the program you're using loads the program. FL Studio uses a specific folder for that. e.g. ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 11\Plugins\VST )

I'm only covering the basics of the plugin, but for the much more in-depth guide you can check out the source here: SMWC Original Thread
Describes it a lot better than I could and has an example of it in action, just wanted to share the information for those that would find it interesting and/or useful.

Awesome find, Ash! A long time ago I attempted to replicate the SPC700 in OpenMPT with some rather poor results. I've always been curious how people like William Kage do it and this seems like the ticket. Bookmark'd!
