I'm not a legendary spriter, unfortunately.
And I really have too many projects right now.

I do have to say, these look really good. Nice to see the Sonic 3 style still getting some love.

Long time no post! This still is alive, I haven't abandoned it.
The main reason I'm posting now is that I have a question... Palette 1: ModGen Sonic palette, cus why not. Palette 2: Greenhill/Sonic 1 badniks palette (apart from Bubbles, that's what Splash Hill uses) Palette 3: Foreground tiles palette Palette 4: Parallax background and some stuff palette The rock uses palette 4 so far... As those that have played Sonic 4 will know, the rock can be smashed. My question is, does which palette the rock uses affect whether it can be an interactive object or not? By using palette 4, will the actual Sonic Genesis engine allow it to be smashable? Thanked by: Ton, iyenal, Dolphman, hawtorange
Here's Hill Top Zone's palette:
The badnik, Rexon uses slot four, which is shared with the mountains & clouds in the background and the flowers on the foreground. As for the blue distant mountains. That uses slot three, sharing it with the foreground tiles. Slot two is used for the lava. Since the zone is a palette swap of Emerald Hill Zone. The lava is blue for the waterfalls instead. It might be possible, since there's plenty of different smashable objects using either of the four palettes in the series. Which I think the object has to have the selected colours needed. I'm finding it quite fun trying to work within the limits somewhat but I honestly have very little knowledge of the capabilities of the Genesis games. Thanks! It isn't quite finished yet, the darker/underside of the leaves still have to be detailed. But after that I've just got the parallax background and the flowers to go. All the ground tiles are done.
That looks fantastic! Let's celebrate with a fitting version of Act 1's theme.
It appears that Photobucket has resized it to a useless state. Mind uploading a mirror? Thanked by: Kurai

Photobucket has never done that to me before, it seems that it has had quite a few changes since the last time I was on, maybe that's why? Instead of the redirection, go to your DeviantArt picture (the page, were you actually look at the picture) and rightclick the picture and select "copy graphic url" or how it is called. Make sure, that you get the direct address of the picture. This should fix it: Code: This also looks really good for tiles with genesis limitations . One thing I noticed, maybe you can make the BG clouds a little bit brighter? They look like storm clouds for me at the moment, which is I think not intentional. Thanked by: Kurai
