After nearly a year of being absent from the spriting scene, I have returned to pixels by making as many Sonic SatAM and Archie stuff as I possibly can. I rediscovered these facets of the Sonic franchise a while back and I've always wanted to make sprites of them because, while places like TSR have some, they don't have much. Or, not as much as I'd like. We needs characters! Tile sets! Background images! And I plan on doing it all somehow. But don't expect me to crank it all out quickly as I have other projects to spend time on. This is just something fun I'd thought I'd do between them. If anyone wants to help me, then I welcome you with open arms! The project uses my 2 Souls' Tale style and the animations and poses are all based on animations and panels from the SatAm and Archie Sonic series. IDW? What's that? ;P
Anyway, here's what I have so far:
from Archie Sonic The Hedgehog Triple Trouble Special #1
I left the background in the portholes separate because I wanted to allow people to have their sprites walk inside it at some point.
from both series. WIP
I'll see if I can do a style tutorial soon.
(Before anyone asks: yes, I plan on doing a custom Final Destination stage for Ultimate soon as well, Lord willing)
God is good.

Honestly, I am a conniseur of color pallettes and whimsical contraptions, and I will say I absolutely adore the one you have made.

Thanks all, I'll try to do my best!
Here we have all of the animations from the intro of SatAM for Sally finished. I'll be working on them by episode and will keep you updated.
Should I compile these into a sheet for the site and submit them as is and update them when I add more or should I withhold until I finish entirely?

Here's every frame from the introduction (I'd say so far, but I've made a little more since then) and some miscellaneous animations on one sheet. I will continue to update this.

Interesting to see this project. May I provide a degree of assistance? Such as a tile set?

Yes, you may! Which tileset are you planning?

Sounds great! The project calls for 16x16 tiles and the amount of tiles you can use is unlimited. I'll edit my first post eventually to show a list of what's been done and what's being made. Have fun!
Working on animations from episode 2 Sonic Boom. Will reserve episode 1 for another sheet as that Sally has a different design.

Sonic satam and archie backgrounds sounds good, I barely see any of that.

Glad to see you here, CaptainKakarot. E-Man speaks very well of you.
Here's a WIP of Episode 2's animations.

Thank you, Miru. They look great. Keep it going.
Update: For those wondering why I haven't updated in a while: it's because I've been waiting for a mousepad to come in the mail and it's taking WAY too long. I need one because I'm tired of my mouse cursor jumping all over the screen when I try to lay a pixel down. When that shows up, in probably a few days, I'll get right back to work on stuff.
EDIT: My progress in the meantime:
Oh! My first tutorial! Sorry, I forgot to cut off the bottom blank space, but this should be good. Animation, tile sets, and background images will come later. Know that making complicated tiles and background images will greatly be aided by use of a tablet if you have one.
Oh, I noticed a discrepency here. The cheek being two pixels is for pronounced cheeks on faces ONLY. Most characters have an unpronounced cheek. And the 8 pixels at the bottom is the outline of the face, not the overall length of the head. My fault.
EDIT: Fix'd.
I'll append this as I go and get new ideas for it.
God is good.
