Progress On Toad Sprite Sheet
#1
Smile
Hey guys! I just started making this Small Toad sprite sheet. I would like it if you could give some adivice or some suggestions for me to improve this. (By the way i'll try to put Blue Toad, Yellow Toad, Captain Toad, Toadette and others into this sheet later.)

The smiling toad looking directly at the viewer is a bit unsettling.

Maybe tone that smile down a bit.

Yeah i guess you're right. I'll remove the smile and just give him a Blank expression. Thanks dude! (By the way i just changed the run

animation and smiling Toad) Again thanks man. Here's what i did

I feel like the shading looks a bit basic at the moment. It isn't very clear where the light source is coming from and the darker tones for the colours don't contrast a lot with each other if you know what I mean. It is quite a good start though, and I do like the SMB2 influence on the poses.

Yeah the shading is one of the things that's kind of bugging me right now so i'll try to update my color pallete since the one i'm using is one i made a like a month ago for a Super Mario World Updated Mario that i ended up canceling about 2 weeks ago. Anyways thanks man. Edit: I decided to remake the sheet with a new color pallete and Toad Symbol so this will be a "Toad Sprite Sheet V2" if you will.
