#1
I need help, I really want to rip sprites from Leapster games, but I don't know how, can someone help me? I was trying to rip sprites from the Leapster Sonic X game.

Not sure if there's a simpler way to do it, but if you want to rip it the hard way, using the C# version of YY-CHR is the best option for the time being.

(Examples below from Sonic X, USA ROM)

Most sprites in Leapster games seem to be tile based (1-Dimensional), so you have to use the 4BBP GBA option to see them properly. Tile arrangement and CHR pattern fiddling is also necessary. Palettes though, I'm still not sure about. (Examples are using a custom/modified palette from Sonic 3.)

Reminds me that I've been sitting on incomplete rips of these for a while. I'll see what I can do sometime later.

Here I am, ripping the Counting On Zero leftover sprites, and I can't even arrange the tiles correctly!

Managed to arrange the tiles for ONE sprite, but some of the other sprites are... kind of hard, to say the least.

^ No point in manually arranging those, I've still got 'em all pre-assembled. I'll organize and upload them when I'm able to, sometime later.

So, you managed to rip all the leftover sprites of Zero? If so, cool! Sonic X's TCRF page is gonna be a lot less stubby.

How do you get the files? I was thinking I could rip from one, but I don’t know how to get them.

I (mostly) wrote the TCRF page for the game. If you wanna rip stuff, consult said TCRF page and it's respective discussion subpage. I wrote a bunch of stuff on those two pages which might help you.

Hey, bush. How do you managed to get them all pre-assembled. I'm trying to rip graphics from Go Diego Go, which uses the same engine, and it's a very difficult task. I'd like some info on how you managed to get the anim data.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks, I’ll look into this! I for some reason didn’t get a notification for it…
