Hey, party people!
With Mario Maker 2 coming soon, I thought it might be fun to get back to our roots and clean up some SNES Mario sheets. With how popular the Mario All-Stars games are, those sections have a lot of leftovers from the Ninsprites days that just don't hold up in the days of tile ripping and ROM dumping. So let's clean up a bit! Below is a list of the biggest issues with each game, but if you see something I missed, please don't hesitate to clean up a sheet of your choosing!
Super Mario Bros / Lost Levels
These games are nearly identical, so anything ripped here is pulling double duty.
-Everything in the Tilesets section is just a mess. The sooner we can replace those, the better.
Super Mario Bros 2 / Super Mario USA
A lot of this is done, but looks shabby.
-Enemies & Bosses; Everything here could be tiled up and arranged much better. Even Hawkmouth.
-Backgrounds; A mess. The tiles sheet seems good though.
Super Mario Bros 3
Better than the last two, but still...
-Mario and Luigi; They currently have 4 sheets each and STILL aren't complete. If we could set them up similar to the current Mario World sheets, that would be perfect.
-Enemies and Bosses; The enemies are looking pretty good, but I can't help but feel like the Koopalings in particular could use some tile ripping.
Super Mario World
The most complete of the games. The character sheets look great, the bosses and NPCs are nice.
-Enemies; Worth combing through. There's a huge chance I screwed up somewhere. Especially with Lakitu's cloud.
-Backgrounds/Objects/Items There is a lot of overlap here. If we can tease the tiles and the items apart, I think that would solve a lot of issues. The backgrounds are also incomplete and could probably be arranged better. Keep in mind, some are animated as well.
-Map; This is very incomplete, and was ripped with Lunar Magic, so there are some overlay and coloring issues.
That's all for now! Anything you do will be greatly appreciated! Heck, feel free to look at beta or unused stuff if you'd rather do that! Thanks for all the support!
