So I've been ripping Quiz Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon and I've run into an attribution issue.
When I started there were a handful of sheets already done. I always knew I would have to revise Monfriez's rip of Sailor Moon because it wasn't organized and it was missing some correct palettes and a few sprites that were cut. I used his work as a check on mine, attributed it to both of us and called it good.
I never planned to touch Amaya's Boss sheet, and I only planned to toss the one cut monster onto the monster sheet (which I did and then grabbed the wrong file to upload for the revision. ugh.) I knew I'd be adding to the portrait sheet eventually because there was a lot missing there too.
I figured I'd just do what I did with Monfriez: use her work as a check and credit it to both of us. So I cobbled together some of the portraits and discovered that Amaya's were about 10% too tall. Amaya was working with a stretched mame window with the alias settings on.
(I didn't notice it immediately because these aren't hand painted sprites, but anime cels that they let Photoshop pick the palette on and downsampled so they always look a little messy around the edges and the palettes always have stupid color choices.)
So now I'm going to be re-ripping all of her work and I kind of feel like I should still credit her, because she put in a good amount of effort...but there will literally be not a pixel of her effort left.
Opinions?
