I think the character models are somewhere in the models resource

I would imagine SOME models from the game may be floating around the internet, but since that is the first version of a game that is now basically impossible to rip due to the game being shut down, the servers being completely shut down, and nobody willing to start a server to revive the game again since October 2018. I think your best bet is to just use models from another game, or try to make your own if that would be better.
( if you want them because of their outlines, it turns out that's just an effect that the game creates and is not actually part of the model, or from what I've heard at least )
But hey if they are ripped that'd be pretty cool since the character designs from that game honestly look quite sharp compared to some of the trash that the series has seen previously

Then that beckons the question of IF and HOW you can access that base APK for that specific version, I'd imagine if someone had a copy of the game before it got shut down and taken off the store, they could probably access the APK from there.

Edit: Unrelated note, but usually when a game is updated, unless it's a graphical overhaul, a game like Sonic Runners probably won't have any differences in it's graphics, as I don't recall even the events when they repeated multiple times, changed graphically in even the slightest way.
